Artists today in Open Art Studio celebrated the work of Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. Kusama was a famous artist whose work consisted of dots and vibrant and contrasting colors. She passed away in August at the age of 97. Her work inspired us today. Happy International Dot Day!

Fall is almost officially here, and we're celebrating in style at Vancouver Pointe! Join us for our First Day of Fall Party on September 22nd from 4:00–7:00 PM, with live entertainment from Bad Motorscooter kicking off at 5:30, dancing, and delicious picnic food. Bring your neighbors and come enjoy the season with us!

I had a wonderful time entertaining the residents at Vancouver Pointe Senior Living yesterday. The retirement center concerts are some of my favorites. There is no audience more attentive, engaged and friendly. What a great crowd!

Our community came together today at a Luau Party filled with aloha spirit. Thank you Paradise of Samoa dancers and musicians for a FANTASTIC show. And our new Chef Tony delivered an amazing Hawaiian dinner with the help of housekeeper Kamden Quinones who specializes in exotic Polynesian dishes. Marie Ludwig, activities extraordinaire, added her decorative touches to make the atmosphere festive (that lady is awesome!!). Thanks to volunteer Lloyd and friends who brought their tiki (golf) cart and served beverages from it. It totally was a hit!!!

And a HUGE shout-out to so many residents and their family members who helped at various stages. From moving chairs to painting and assembling table decorations, our volunteers enable us to do so much more!

Vancouver Pointe clearly is more than just a place to live, it's a family of approximately 160 residents and 35 staff members who care about each other and who celebrate life together!
