Everyone has a plan for your life.

It’s funny…

Some people can tell you exactly how to build your business.
How to raise your kids.
How to fix your marriage.
How to get in shape.

Meanwhile… they’re still trying to figure out their own life.

The truth?

No one sees the miles you’ve walked.

They don’t see the early mornings.
The setbacks.
The failures.
The divorce.
The business struggles.
The nights wondering if you’re going to make it.
The hundreds of small decisions that got you to where you are today.

From the outside, people judge the destination.

Only you know the price of the journey.

And here’s another truth…

Most people don’t fail because they picked the wrong plan.

They fail because they never start.

ā€œMonday.ā€

ā€œAfter vacation.ā€

ā€œWhen life slows down.ā€

ā€œWhen I have more confidence.ā€

That Monday turns into next month…
Next month turns into next year…
And one day they realize they’ve spent years planning a life they never actually lived.

ā€œDo not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.ā€ — Matthew 6:34

Not because tomorrow doesn’t matter…

But because today is the only day you’ve been given to obey.

So build the bridge one step at a time.

Lift the weight.

Make the phone call.

Record the video.

Tell your family you love them.

Pray.

Take the next faithful step.

Because none of us are promised tomorrow.

But we are all given today.

Growing up, I thought baseball was about learning how to throw, catch, and hit.

Turns out… it’s also about accidentally teaching your kid that ā€œTake Me Out to the Ball Gameā€ is the ā€œPackers song.ā€ šŸ˜‚

Now every time we get in the Subaru it’s:
ā€œDaddy… play the Packers song!ā€

I’m trying to explain it’s a baseball song.

He’s not buying it.

But then I realized… maybe that’s not the point.

He probably won’t remember whether we hit off a tee for 15 or 20 minutes.

He’ll remember the Subaru rides.
The laughter.
The songs.
Playing catch after dinner.
The feeling that baseball meant time with Dad.

Those little moments become what the game means to him.

Maybe baseball leads to high school.
Maybe college.
Maybe coaching.
Maybe the front office.
Maybe it’s just something he shares with his own kids someday.

I don’t get to control the outcome.

I just get today’s assignment.

Play catch.
Sing the ā€œPackers song.ā€
Make the memory.

I’ll trust God with the rest. āš¾ļøā¤ļø

I remember going to a Bucks game in Portland years ago because I wanted to see this skinny rookie everyone was calling ā€œThe Greek Freak.ā€

People would ask me, ā€œWhy are you a Milwaukee Bucks fan? They’re terrible.ā€

At the time, they were. They lost that game in overtime, and honestly, there wasn’t much reason to believe a championship was coming. But as a trainer and coach, I’ve always drawn inspiration from sports. I love watching people grow into what they’re capable of becoming.

Watching that young Giannis, you could see something. Not greatness yet. Just potential. A willingness to work. A refusal to quit.

I never thought I would see Milwaukee win an NBA championship.

Small market teams aren’t supposed to win. They’re supposed to develop stars and watch them leave for bigger cities.

Then free agency came.

The rumors were everywhere. Lakers. Knicks. Big markets. Big opportunities.

I remember thinking, ā€œIf Giannis leaves, I’ll probably never watch basketball again. No small market team can win.ā€

But he stayed.

He believed.

The organization believed.

And together they delivered a championship to Milwaukee.

Thank you, Giannis, for the memories.

Thank you for showing what loyalty looks like in an era where it’s rare.

The Bucks organization did everything they could to win. They traded for Jrue. They traded for Dame. They pushed their chips to the middle of the table. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.

If Giannis wants another championship, I understand it. He’s not just playing to win another title. He’s chasing a place among the greatest players to ever touch a basketball.

No matter what happens next, Bucks fans will never forget what he gave this city.

From 15 wins.
To NBA champions.

That’s a story bigger than basketball.

It’s a reminder that where you start doesn’t determine where you finish.

Happy Father’s Day

To every dad, stepdad, grandfather, coach, mentor, and man showing up for the people who depend on him:

Thank you.

Thank you for getting up when you’re tired.

Thank you for carrying responsibilities nobody else sees.

Thank you for working through your own struggles while trying to build a better life for your family.

Thank you for the sacrifices that often go unnoticed.

Thank you for the times you kept going when quitting would have been easier.

This year has reminded me that being a father isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about being present.

Yesterday I was watching Dillon eat an ice cream cone at the park. He was smiling, happy, and completely in the moment. Later he looked at me and said,

ā€œI like you, Daddy.ā€

No trophy, paycheck, promotion, or accomplishment can compare to hearing those words.

As fathers, we spend a lot of time trying to build a future for our children.

But sometimes God reminds us that the greatest gift we can give them is simply ourselves.

Our time.

Our presence.

Our love.

Today I’m grateful for the opportunity to be Dillon’s dad.

And I’m grateful for every father who keeps showing up, one day at a time.

Happy Father’s Day. ā¤ļøšŸ‘Øā€šŸ‘¦

Trying to get lean after 45 without living on a treadmill

I’ve coached men and women over 45 for 20+ years…
The ones who win don’t do more they do what works.

Here’s the plan šŸ‘‡

1. Lift 3x per week
30–45 mins
Push. Pull. Legs.
Get a little stronger each week.

2. Walk daily
8–12k steps
This is your real fat loss tool not more cardio classes.

3. Protein first every meal
30–40g
If you don’t hit protein… don’t expect results.

4. Keep nutrition simple
Eat lighter on rest days
Eat more on training days
Track a couple days per week not forever

5. Cut what’s holding you back
Alcohol
Late-night snacking
Liquid calories

You don’t need to be perfect… but you do need to be honest.

6. Act like the person you want to become
Ask yourself:
ā€œWhat would a strong, fit version of me do today?ā€

Facebook just reminded me… 10 years ago today we ran our first Little Black Dress Challenge.

Kind of wild.

Back when:
• workouts were loud
• playlists were questionable šŸ˜‚
• and somehow everyone survived my coaching

But here’s what I remember most…

šŸ‘‰ the confidence people walked away with
šŸ‘‰ the friendships that were built
šŸ‘‰ and the moment someone realized, ā€œI actually did thisā€

That never gets old.

What is your favorite LBD moment?
Should we do another one?

Remember why we’re doing all this.

Not just for abs.
Not just for numbers.
Not just for the mirror.

For this. šŸ‘‡

Being present.
Having energy.
Building a life your kids get to experience not just watch you survive.

Easter hits different as a dad.

Church.
Easter egg hunts.
Good food.
Family.
Memories stacking up year after year.

That’s the real wealth.

Memories make us rich.

And Dillon… šŸ˜‚

Let’s just say the kid didn’t ā€œfindā€ eggs…
He hunted them like it was the NFL Combine.
Or
Maybe future short stop for the Brewers
(No pressure, or dad expectations)

Full basket. Competitive spirit on 100.

Must be all those days he’s been shadowing me at the gym šŸ’Ŗ

But this is what it’s about.

Not just raising a healthy kid…
Raising a kid who sees what discipline, effort, and consistency look like.

Because they’re always watching.

Even when you think they’re not.

So yeah… we train.

We show up.

We do the work.

Not just to look better

šŸ‘‰ but to live better
šŸ‘‰ lead better
šŸ‘‰ and be fully there for moments like this

He has risen. And so do we. āœļøšŸ”„
