CommuniKate Speech Therapy

CommuniKate Speech Therapy Now offering pediatric speech therapy services including speech and language treatment, evaluations, and parent training for language development.

I believe that therapy is most effective when the three key members– child, family, and therapist–work together. The goal of CommuniKate is for knowledge to be shared and for us to learn from each other. As a parent, you are the expert in your child, and as a speech language pathologist, I am an expert in my field of speech and language development. Let’s work together through a family centered ap

proach to find ways to best support your child’s needs. I believe in using the current strengths of your child to help them expand and grow.

Meet Rachel!

"I specialize in treating speech sound disorders and am passionate about helping children build clear, confident communication skills. Being a speech-language pathologist is incredibly rewarding because I have the opportunity to help children find their voice, build confidence, and connect more meaningfully with the world around them. I love celebrating each milestone with my clients, whether it's saying a first word, mastering a new speech sound, or reaching a communication goal. I am always on the lookout for new games to make learning fun and motivating."

"Outside of the clinic, I enjoy cheering on my kids at cross country and track meets. My family also loves exploring our national parks, reading, and spending time together outdoors."

This month commemorates the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in July 1990, a landmark civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life.

At CommuniKate, we recognize that communication is a fundamental human right. Our role as speech-language pathologists is to ensure that disabled and neurodivergent children have the tools they need to exercise that right effectively.

Learn more about communication rights and the history of the ADA at ada.gov.

Meet Bella!

Bella has been working with CommuniKate since 2024, and has been an SLP for almost 15 years. She is passionate about working with neurodivergent kiddos and those who use (or could benefit from!) AAC devices. Whether she is helping young children with speech sounds or supporting older kids as they expand their social communication skills, her ultimate goal is to help them build meaningful connections.

Beyond helping kids express themselves, she loves getting to watch their unique personalities blossom. She is dedicated to supporting her patients through all of life's ups and downs by helping them communicate in those moments. Bella says, "I think we get to see true joy, in its purest form, every day."

Happy Fourth of July!

Let's talk about fireworks and pediatric hearing.
Because children's auditory systems are still developing, they are highly sensitive to high-decibel events. You don't have to skip the show, but a little preparation goes a long way.

Remember to pack over-the-ear muffs for the kids, set up your viewing spot at least 500 feet back from the launch site, and never hesitate to leave if anyone experiences ear discomfort.
