We’re inching forward and it feels AMAZING — our July Donor Match is now at 93% of our $6,000 goal! 💜

The momentum is electric, the generosity is flowing, and this community is showing up with HEART. Every matched gift is fueling more activities in the community, more connection, and more HOPE for people living with dementia and their care partners.

We’re so close — let’s bring it home!

Wonderful community news for Brush Prairie! 💜

Bethel Lutheran Church will host the DSHS Dementia Action Collaborative (DAC) Brain Health Presentation on July 22 — presented by HOPE Dementia Support.

This session will highlight practical brain health strategies, early signs to watch for, and ways families can stay connected to supportive programs across Clark County. It’s a chance for neighbors to learn together, ask great questions, and strengthen community awareness around dementia.

We’re grateful to Bethel Lutheran Church for opening their doors and helping us reach more families in Brush Prairie. Partnerships like this expand HOPE in powerful ways.

Recognizing Terry Walters, HOPE Dementia Support’s Own Senior Hero

We are so proud of Terry Walters, who began his journey as a devoted care partner while supporting his dad through dementia. That experience shaped the deep empathy, wisdom, and steady compassion he now brings to our entire HOPE community.
Terry transformed his personal story into a powerful commitment to others — becoming an amazing friend, advocate, and ambassador to HOPE Dementia Support’s staff, volunteers, and membership.
As a dedicated member of HOPE’s Advisory Board, Terry helps guide our mission with clarity and heart, strengthening community partnerships and ensuring that families facing dementia receive support rooted in dignity, inclusion, and hope.
His leadership, kindness, and unwavering belief in the value of every person are exactly why Terry is celebrated as one of Clark County’s Senior Heroes.
We appreciate you, Terry!

HOPE Dementia Support recognizes the International Day of HOPE today, July 12—a reminder that even in the hardest moments, connection and compassion light the way forward. At CDM, we see hope every day in the courage of families, the kindness of caregivers, and the strength of our community. Together, we make sure no one walks this journey alone.

July 12 — The International Day of HOPE
Around the world, July 12 celebrates HOPE — the belief that communities grow stronger when we lift one another up.

Here in Southwest Washington, HOPE Dementia Support lives that mission every day. While the international day honors the idea of HOPE, our organization brings it to life through weekly support groups, monthly education, and community connection.

The International Day of HOPE reminds us why we do this work.
HOPE Dementia Support shows what it looks like in action — neighbors learning together, care partners finding strength, and families discovering they’re not alone.

Celebrating HOPE globally.
Living HOPE locally.
And always moving forward, together.
