You’ve been mobilizing the wrong joint your whole career.

Stiff hip. Capped squat depth. Low back pain that never fully clears.

Everyone’s first move is the same: stretch the femur. Loosen the hip capsule. Foam roll it into submission.

Doesn’t work. Or it works for a day.

Here’s why: the femur isn’t the problem. It’s the victim.

The pelvis is supposed to move forward, back, side to side so the femur can rotate freely inside the joint. When the pelvis locks into one position (which happens more than you’d think), the femur has nowhere to go. So it jams. Every squat. Every stride. Every rep.

You can stretch a jammed joint forever. It’ll still be jammed.

Fix the platform, not the piece sitting on top of it.

Move the pelvis first. The femur and the pain, and the plateau takes care of itself.

Your body’s been compensating around the real problem for so long, the compensation became the pain. We find the actual pattern, not just where it hurts.

If you’re not constantly retesting and reassessing, how do you know you are on the right path beating your head against the wall multitude of times doesn’t mean hitting it one more time is going to work.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Dr. Jessy Johnson to talk about the good, bad and the ugly of healthcare, rehab, and why people don’t truly get better. Plus, he has fantastic hair.

Three knee surgeries by age 24. If you’d told me I’d still be dealing with pain after all that, I wouldn’t have believed you.

I tried to push through it. I tried to accept it as “just how my knee is now.” What I didn’t try, for way too long, was finding someone who actually looked at the whole picture not just the joint, but how I moved, how I compensated, and why the pain kept coming back.

That’s what finally changed things.

If you’ve had multiple surgeries and still don’t feel like yourself, you’re not broken and you’re not out of options. You might just be seeing the wrong provider.

She’d been told “everything looks normal.” She’d been handed the same stretches. She’d been passed from provider to provider and slowly, she started to believe this was just her life now.

Then she walked through our doors.

This isn’t just a testimonial. It’s what happens when someone finally listens when your pain is actually assessed instead of dismissed, and a real plan replaces guesswork.

We didn’t just treat her symptoms. We gave her her life back. 🖤

If you’ve been told there’s nothing left to try there is. You just haven’t found the right team yet.
