What a weekend! 😮‍💨 The energy, the people, the joy...this is what community looks like, and we are so grateful to have been part of it.

Here’s the best part: every sale from our table goes directly toward camp scholarships. This year at the Vancouver Pride Block Party alone, YOUR support helped fund several spots at Camp Wild Heart — a nature retreat where high schoolers get dedicated space to connect, reflect, and just *exist* with people who get it.

That’s the power of showing up for each other. 🔥

And this is just the beginning...we have TWO more Pride events this summer, and every purchase at every table sends another kid to camp. Next up: Camas Pride this Sunday, June 21st! Come find us and help us keep the momentum going. 🧡

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, made a purchase, or just vibed with us. You’re the reason this works. Couldn’t make it and can’t make a future event? Check out the pride merch line on our website!

PRIDE SEASON IS HERE and we're showing up — for our community, and for the kids who need us most. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

📍 Dandelion Teahouse & Apothecary Vancouver Pride Block Party 6/13 12pm - 7pm
📍 Camas Pride Block Party 6/21 11am - 4pm
📍 Southwest Washington Pride Alliance Vancouver Saturday in the Park 7/11 10am - 5pm

Find our booth, shop the Pride Collection, and know that every purchase directly sends trans kids to Camp Wild Heart — a summer camp where young people get to show up fully as themselves, find their people, and feel the belonging every kid deserves.

That's why we're there. Community taking care of community. 🏕️🔥

Can't make it? Our full Pride Collection is online — and every purchase still goes directly toward helping kids attend camp.

“Just try harder” sounds helpful. But you’ve been trying hard this whole time.

Sometimes it’s not about effort; your brain is overwhelmed, burnt out, or just… not set up for what you’re asking it to do. That doesn’t mean you’re lazy; it just means something isn’t working.

Small changes help more than forcing it ever will. Lowering the bar makes it easier to start, and once you start, things usually move a little easier. Taking some pressure off matters too; you don’t need to shame yourself into doing something your brain is already struggling with. And having support, even a little, can make a bigger difference than trying to muscle through everything on your own.

If it’s not working, pushing harder usually isn’t the answer. Changing the conditions is.

If you’re a parent asking, “What if my child regrets this?” you’re likely holding a very real kind of fear.

The fear of getting it wrong. The fear of not protecting your child. The fear of making a decision that can’t be undone.

And sometimes, underneath all of that, is the fear that one day, they might look back and blame you.

That fear makes sense.

Because regret DOES exist.

It’s part of being human.

Across many areas of life, people experience it:
~40% of physicians report regret about their career choice
~48% of teachers report regret
~21% of people regret breast augmentation
~14% of people report regret about becoming parents

And still...we don’t respond to that reality by shutting those paths down.

We respond with support. With information. With space to grow and adjust over time.

When it comes to gender transition, though, regret is often treated as something uniquely dangerous. But the data tells a more complex story.

About 8% of trans people report any form of detransition. And most of those experiences are not about a change in identity...

They’re often shaped by external pressures like lack of support, safety concerns, financial barriers, or the weight of navigating an unaccepting world.

Many people who detransition later retransition when it becomes safe enough to do so.

So underneath the fear, there may be a deeper question: “How do I protect my child?”

And the answer, over and over in the research, is this: Support matters.

Not perfect certainty. Not having all the answers.

But staying connected.

Listening. Learning. Making decisions with care, over time.

If you’re feeling scared, it doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong. It means you care deeply about your child and the life they’ll grow into.

And that care...that willingness to stay in it with them...is one of the most powerful protective factors they have.

Our first ever In/Formal dance was a BLAST! 💙

You all made the most beautiful flower crowns, had the best dance moves, and some of you even learned the Macarena! 🪩

Huge thank you to our staff and volunteers who made this possible. Without you, this wouldn’t have been half as fun.

What was your favorite moment from the dance? 💃🎉
