Sacred Rest has become one of my favorite offerings, in large part because it grew from a shared passion that my husband, Joe, and I have for exploring the intersection of ancient wisdom traditions and modern psychology.

We’re both endlessly curious about the practices that have helped humans heal, grow, and find meaning for thousands of years, and how those practices align with what we now understand about the mind, nervous system, and well-being. Sacred Rest was designed as a space where we can explore those ideas together in a way that is both practical and deeply experiential.

Each month we choose a topic that touches all of our lives—stress, self-compassion, purpose, relationships, resilience, and more. We begin with a slow, intentional yoga practice designed to help participants settle into their bodies and step away from the pace of everyday life. From there, we move into a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra meditation, while participants receive individual Reiki throughout the experience.

We also include journaling during the workshop—or prompts to take home—because insight is only the beginning. Reflection and integration help transform an experience into something that can continue to support us long after the evening ends.

The feedback we’ve received has been incredibly meaningful. Participants have shared how nourished, grounded, and restored they feel afterward, and we’re so grateful that Sacred Rest continues to resonate with people. We love creating this space and are excited to continue offering it.

Life isn’t always calm seas and perfect sunsets. Sometimes it’s waves that knock us down, pull us under, and leave us wondering if we have the strength to keep going.

But serenity isn’t found in avoiding the currents of life — it’s found in learning how to ride them. 🌊

Like a surfer holding onto their board after a hard fall, we too must hold on through the chaos, the uncertainty, and the moments that test us. Not every wave is meant to break us. Some are meant to teach us balance, patience, and trust.

There’s power in pausing, catching your breath, and waiting for the right moment to rise again. And when you do, you may find yourself stronger, wiser, and more aligned than before.

Life will always ebb and flow. The key is not fighting the current, but learning to move with it while staying rooted within yourself. ✨

Keep holding on. Your next wave may carry you exactly where you’re meant to be.

So dance even if no one is watching.
Sing loudly in the car.
Take the pictures.
Go on the adventure.
Laugh until your stomach hurts.
Hold your loved ones a little longer.

Don’t wait for the “perfect time” to start living your life.
Make memories now.
Say yes to joy.
Say yes to experiences.
Say yes to living with a full heart and no regrets.

Because at the end of the day, life isn’t measured by how busy we were — it’s measured by the moments that made us feel alive. ✨
