Trying new things in sobriety isn’t just about staying busy. It’s about discovering who you are beyond addiction.

A new hobby, sport, class, trip, or activity can help you build confidence, meet new people, create healthy routines, and find things that make life worth showing up for.

You don’t have to know exactly what your new life is going to look like. Start with curiosity. Try something you’ve never done before. You might be surprised by what you discover. 🤍

We’re still reminiscing on this year’s softball tournament. 🥎🤍

When Dylan was a client, this tournament became one of his favorite memories in recovery. This year, he got to experience it from a whole new perspective and help the Living Now team take home the win at our 5th Annual Softball Tournament.

There is something special about watching these moments come full circle. The people, the memories, and the experiences we build in recovery have a way of staying with us long after the day is over.

What does recovery mean to you? 🤍

Matt’s answer is a beautiful reminder of one of the biggest transformations that happens in recovery. Life slowly stops revolving around me and begins to make room for others.

Recovery isn’t just about what you gain for yourself. It’s about becoming someone who can show up for the people around you with honesty, compassion, and purpose.

Over the past couple of years, one of our house managers, Clay, has taken the initiative to transform our backyard into a beautiful garden that’s become a true sanctuary for everyone at Living Now. His care, creativity, and dedication have turned this space into a place where our residents can slow down, reflect, and enjoy the peace that recovery has to offer.

And if you’ve ever seen Clay propagating plants, you know he’s got it down to a science. We could all learn a thing or two from him. 🌱

Thank you, Clay, for the time, heart, and intention you’ve poured into making our house feel even more like home. This little corner of peace is something truly special, and we’re so grateful for all that you do. 🤍

One of the most rewarding parts of early recovery is not only rediscovering yourself, but rediscovering life. 🤍

You may be surprised by the things you end up loving, the hobbies you discover, and even how much your perspective changes. Recovery has a way of opening doors you never expected.

One of the beautiful things about sober living is that you don’t have to explore it alone. You’re surrounded by people who encourage you to try new things, step outside your comfort zone, and experience life in a whole new way. Before you know it, the people you live with become the friends you make some of your favorite memories with.
