Why Dynamic Flow?

Dynamic Flow started with a simple belief: physical therapy should be about more than treating an injury or checking a box.
After my own medical drama and issues it made me realize how much pelvic health, tailbone and back pain where lacking in Ventura.

I wanted to create a place where people feel seen, heard, and empowered, where we look at the whole person, not just the painful body part, and where the goal isn’t simply to get you out of pain… but to help you get back to the life you love.

Over the years, that vision has grown into a team and a community that I’m incredibly proud of.

We believe your health shouldn’t be something you take for granted. You deserve to move, feel strong, chase your goals, and live your life to the fullest.

That’s why we started Dynamic Flow. And that’s still why we’re here.

What is hypermobility?
Hypermobility is a condition that affects the connective tissues in our bodies, resulting in joints with greater-than-normal range of motion. This requires the muscles nearby to work harder to keep the joint stable. Hypermobility can also affect other parts of the body, like the digestive tract and cardiovascular system, since connective tissue exists all throughout the body.

How do I know if I’m hypermobile?
The most common screening tool is called the Beighton Scale. It is a 9 point scale that looks at:
- With your hand and forearm on a flat surface, can your 5th finger be bent back beyond 90 degrees?
- With your arm out straight and wrist bent downward, can your thumb be pushed back to touch the forearm?
- With arms outstretched, do your elbows hyperextend more than 10 degrees?
- While standing, do your knees hyperextend more than 10 degrees?
- Can you bend forward and place your hands flat on the floor without bending your knees?
This doesn’t test every joint in the body, but can be a helpful starting point.

Hands-on treatment + regenerative technology working together.

We use visceral, soft tissue, and fascial techniques (specialized hands-on bodywork) to improve mobility, reduce restriction, and help the body move and feel better, followed by SoftWave therapy to support healing and recovery.

One of our favorite combinations when appropriate!

Always feeling tight? Like you constantly need to stretch, massage, or hit the Theragun?

We see this all the time and it’s usually not just “tight muscles.” It’s a sign something deeper isn’t working well.

Common root causes we look at:
• Core (abdominal) tension or weakness
• Pelvic floor dysfunction
• Posture and movement patterns
• Hypermobility or lack of stability
•Nervous system up-regulation

If you’re always chasing relief but it never lasts, it might be time to look at the bigger picture instead of just the symptoms.

A pessary is a small, flexible device placed in the va**na to support pelvic organs or support leaking.

If you’re dealing with prolapse or leaking, it can:
• Reduce pressure and heaviness
• Help prevent urine leakage
• Support your bladder, uterus, or re**um
• Keep you active without surgery

It’s simple, removable, and often life-changing when properly fitted. It’s often not discussed as option for younger women but it truly can be a game changer for many. 🤍

Curious if it’s right for you? A pelvic floor PT can help guide you.
