We'd like to introduce you to Eye Associates of Mississippi, an ophthalmology practice specializing in eye diseases, who will be coming to this location later this year!

Southern Eye Care of Vicksburg will be closing and Dr. Flemons will be moving to our location in Clinton. His last day to see patients in Vicksburg will be May 15 and the clinic will close on May 29.

We'd love for you to continue seeing Dr. Flemons at Southern Eye Care in Clinton beginning May 18 or if you'd prefer to stay in the Vicksburg area, your records will be available at Riverbend Eyecare beginning June 1.

Six different muscles surround each eye and work to focus on the same object. In someone with strabismus, these muscles do not work together. As a result, one eye looks at one object, while the other eye turns in a different direction and looks at another object. When this occurs, two different images are sent to the brain -- one from each eye.

Strabismus can usually be corrected with early treatment. Several treatment options exist to align the eyes. They include special eyewear, use of an eye patch, and rarely surgery.
