Our streak of beautiful Fall weather has been interrupted, and the Montana days are getting too short for evening lessons. So, our 2026 riding season has come to a close. While this year's session was abbreviated due to the construction of the arena, our students made incredible progress, and we are so proud of each of them! With our facilities completed, we are planning three full sessions next year and will start in the Spring as soon as the weather allows!

We want to thank our students, our incredible instructor and volunteers, our board of directors, Farmers State Bank and all the members of our community who supported us for such a wonderful riding season. And we are so grateful for our invaluable equine partners!

We'll see you all back in the arena this Spring!!

Walk On!

We had a terrific ride under the full moon tonight! The photos don't show how well the moon lit up the arena, but it was bright and clear. It was an absolutely beautiful night! Our ghost lights and glow sticks were a lot of fun and the Jack O'Lanterns turned out great! Thank you to everyone who helped us set up and to our students, volunteers, instructor, and horses for a great ride!!

We're having a blast with our Halloween Full Moon Ride this evening. We're carving pumpkins and getting the arena set up with all the glow sticks and other decorations. We'll tack up the horses in just a few minutes and start riding when it gets dark.

Andrea and Eagle had a great ride this evening. Andrea's cues were on point and Eagle was extremely responsive. Sliding up against the rail to "deliver the mail" with our Pony Express game is a great way to develop precision. Andrea finished the session with several walk-trot transitions and did an incredible job. They are such a great team!

We had another beautiful evening for lessons today! Megan and Roxy were joined by David and Eagle for some follow-the-leader games and tandem riding. The activities required Megan focus on navigating her own obstacles while maintaining awareness of the other rider's position in the arena and coordinating with them to achieve certain tasks.

Thank you Farmers State Bank for being with us from the start! Your support is making this program accessible for members of our community who may not otherwise have the opportunity to engage with horses!

Our Halloween Full Moon Glow Ride is this Saturday, Oct 24, starting at 5:30 pm. All students, volunteers, staff, board members, and family members are invited to come out to carve pumpkins, enjoy treats, and ride in the arena under the full moon. Dress warm and bring your favorite treat to share!

We have been so blessed with such beautiful riding weather this Fall! Tabatha and Eagle played the Pony Express delivery game this evening while navigating a new obstacle pattern.

10/14/2026

It has been so wonderful to see Tabatha's confidence grow each week! She continues to enhance her riding skills, independently navigating the different obstacles and demonstrating solid communication with her partner, Roxy.
