After 40 years of service, Laurie Langhoff is officially retiring! 🎉💙

We recently celebrated Laurie and the incredible impact she has made during her four decades at Citizens Medical Center. As a clinical pharmacist, Laurie has been a trusted expert, problem solver, and champion for our pharmacy department. While many patients may not have seen all the work she did behind the scenes, her dedication helped strengthen the care we provide every day.

Forty years of commitment, knowledge, and service is an amazing accomplishment, and we are so grateful for everything Laurie has done for Citizens Medical Center and our community.

Join us in wishing Laurie a happy retirement filled with new adventures, relaxation, and plenty of time to enjoy the things she loves. Congratulations, Laurie! 🎊👏

🚑 Have you ever seen an ambulance that can transport up to 20 patients at once?

This week, Citizens Medical Center welcomed the AMBUS (Ambulance Bus) during the Golden Crescent Regional Advisory Council meeting. Designed for mass casualty incidents, evacuations, and disaster response, the AMBUS serves as a mobile treatment and transport resource capable of caring for multiple patients during large-scale emergencies.

Our trauma and emergency preparedness partners had the opportunity to tour the vehicle and learn more about how resources like the AMBUS help communities respond when extraordinary situations arise.

Preparedness starts with partnerships, and we're grateful for opportunities like these to strengthen our regional response capabilities.🤝

Thank you to everyone who joined us today for “From Forgetfulness to Emergency: How to Recognize & Respond” with Dr. John McNeill.

We enjoyed sharing important information about heart attacks, strokes and the warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease. As well as symptoms that require immediate medical attention and when to go to the ER. Our goal is to empower our community with the knowledge to make informed decisions when every moment matters.

Thank you to the Victoria College Academy of Lifelong Learning for the opportunity to connect with our community, and to everyone who attended and asked thoughtful questions. We look forward to seeing you at another Citizens Medical Center educational event soon!
