Thinking about becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)? 🩺💙
Before signing up for classes, ask yourself these questions. Being a CNA can be incredibly rewarding, but it’s also a career that requires compassion, strength, flexibility, and heart.
✔️ Can I work on my feet for 7–12 hours during a shift?
✔️ Am I able to safely lift, move, or assist individuals (sometimes more than 50 lbs with proper equipment and teamwork)?
✔️ Do I enjoy caring for others on a personal level?
✔️ Am I open to working rotating schedules, including some weekends and holidays?
✔️ Am I comfortable helping people with grooming, dressing, and toileting?
✔️ Can I remain patient and compassionate during difficult moments?
✔️ Am I comfortable communicating with residents, families, and healthcare teams?
✔️ Can I stay calm in a fast-paced environment?
✔️ Do I find purpose in helping people maintain dignity and quality of life?
✔️ Am I dependable and able to show up consistently for the people who count on me?
If you answered YES to most of these questions, becoming a CNA might be more than a job—it could be the start of a meaningful career in healthcare. 💙
