I just added Shockwave Therapy to my office and have seen Amazing Results!!

Shockwave Therapy, also known as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), is a non-invasive regenerative treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing and reduce pain in various musculoskeletal conditions.

It accomplishes this by releasing growth factors in the injured tissue. It doesn't need surgery and doesn't hurt. It's like giving your body a gentle nudge to help it heal itself. It does this by delivering targeted sound waves to injured tissues. Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) promotes the body’s natural healing process, making it an effective option for reducing pain and enhancing recovery.

Shockwave therapy can help with many types of pain and injuries. Here are some common ones:

Plantar fasciitis
Tennis elbow & Golfer’s elbow
Sciatica & Low back pain
Shoulder tendinopathy
Achilles tendinopathy
Patella tendinopathy (Jumper’s knee)
Meniscal injuries
Hamstring injuries
Rotator cuff
Heel spurs
Gluteal tendinitis
Adhesive capsulitis (Frozen shoulder)
Knee Pain
Fibromyalgia

Shockwave therapy works by delivering high-energy shockwaves to the affected area, which stimulates the body’s natural healing process. These shockwaves increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote the production of collagen which is crucial for tissue repair. This combination of increase blood flow and reduced inflammation leads to a reduction in pain and an improvement in function.

*Activates stem cell healing
*Reduces Pain quickly
*Improves ease of mobility
*Benefits extend far beyond initial treatment.
*Increases blood circulation
*Rapid results that are scientifically validated.
*Avoids pharmaceuticals.
*No surgery, no incisions.

TAKING CONTROL OF YOUR TENNIS & GOLFER’S ELBOW WITH SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

Studies have shown that SHOCKWAVE THERAPY is effective in reducing pain and improving function in patients with tennis & golfer’s elbow. A 2015 study published in the Journal of Orthopedic Surgery and Research found that shockwave therapy improved pain and function in patients with chronic tennis elbow.
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7106907/

Procedure: A handheld device delivers acoustic waves to the painful outer elbow area, often described as a "tapping" or "rubber band snap" sensation.

Mechanism: It works by increasing blood flow, stimulating cell regeneration, and reducing pain-eliciting neurotransmitters.

Treatment Course: Begins with initial Exam and X-Ray (if none available). Shockwave Therapy combined with Extremity Corrective Mobilization, and therapeutic rehabilitative strengthening exercises.

A course typically involves 3-4 shockwave treatments, with sessions scheduled 7-10 days apart.
Effectiveness: Studies show significant pain reduction and functional improvement, with one study finding 60% of patients reported positive outcomes, particularly when combined with exercise or manual therapy.

Side Effects: Potential, usually temporary, side effects include joint soreness, skin redness, bruising, minor swelling, and numbness or tingling.

Aftercare: Patients are generally advised to rest the elbow for 1–2 days post-treatment and avoid heavy lifting, though light activity is fine.
