Whether it’s the exam table, ER floor, or kennel, cuddles are always on the treatment sheet.❤️
This is Athena, who came to us with pyometra. She was such a trooper through everything, from her first exam, to surgery, to lots of kennel cuddles.

We’re so happy Athena is back home and feeling like herself again! ❤️

Hot days mean hot paws. Asphalt can become much hotter than the air temperature and can burn your dog’s paw pads in just seconds.
Before walks, check the pavement with the 7-second hand test. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
Choose cooler times, shaded paths, and grassy areas to keep those paws safe. ♨️ (temps showing can range up to that temperature of asphalt all temps depend on time of day, sun position, etc.)

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸.

We are open for emergencies throughout the weekend. Please call ahead to confirm availability before arriving.

Fireworks can be very stressful for pets. Make sure to keep them indoors in a secure, quiet space. Ensure collars and ID tags are up to date in case of accidental escapes, and consider creating a calm environment with some white noise or background TV.

Have a safe holiday! ❤️💙

Meet Tobi ! Tobi came to us for a possible ear infection, but the culprit turned out to be a foxtail lodged deep in his ear canal. 🌾
Foxtails may look harmless, but these pesky grass awns can migrate into the ears, nose, eyes, paws, and even deeper tissues, causing pain, infection, and serious complications if left untreated. If your pet is shaking their head, pawing at their ears, sneezing excessively, or suddenly acting uncomfortable, don’t ignore it!

Thankfully, Tobi’s foxtail was removed, and he’s back to being the crazy (but much happier) Husky ❤️

Foxtail season is here!! Make sure to check your pets after walks, especially around the ears, paws, and coat, and seek veterinary care if something seems off. Early intervention can make all the difference!

As temperatures rise, it’s important to keep pets safe and prevent heat stroke. Watch closely for signs of heat stroke such as excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, or collapse, as well as changes in gum color or behavior. Heat stroke is a medical emergency, and pets should be brought to the ER right away if there is any concern. Give us a call if you have any questions! ☀️

We loved celebrating Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week last week! 🎉🐾
Our vet assistants do so much more than support patient care. They are a vital part of every visit, helping guide both the medical needs of our patients and the emotional and financial needs of our clients with compassion and care.
From comforting nervous pets to supporting their families through important decisions, our assistants show up every day with heart, skill, and dedication.
We truly appreciate everything they do and hope they felt celebrated all week long. Thank you for all that you do, you make a difference every single day! 💙
