Our story began more than 50 years ago when Ronnie L. Stewart founded Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service, serving families with the help of his family by his side. After many years of dedicated service, the firm became Roberts–Stewart Funeral Home in 2020 and was later purchased by Kyle Wilkes, becoming the Wilkes Funeral Home families know today.

While the name has changed, our commitment to the community remains the same. Our caring and experienced team is here to help families create meaningful tributes and guide them through each step with compassion and respect.

Today marks something new: the first-ever National Cremation Placement Day.

It's not every year a new tradition begins. This one is about honoring the importance of a dedicated resting place for cremated remains — a niche, memorial garden, or family plot where loved ones can return, remember, and feel close.

We're proud to help families find that place, especially as we mark this first year.
