Virginia University of Integrative Medicine Clinic Our faculty is comprised of experienced doctors and licensed practitioners from a variety of backgrounds to offer you the best in holistic care.

Since 2004, our teaching clinic at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine (VUIM) has been a comprehensive, patient-centered center for natural healing and wellness. “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

At our clinic we provide acupuncture and oriental medicine services in an educational environment. Our goal is to restore the health and wellness of our patients, and educate our community on the prevention of disease through healthy living practices to balance the mind, body, and spirit.

🎉 What an incredible weekend! Dr. Yosun Hwang and our VUIM students had the pleasure of participating in the 2026 Korean Festival in Atlanta at Gwinnett Place Mall this past Saturday and Sunday. It was such a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community, celebrate Korean culture, and share what we're all about — our school and clinic!

What an incredible two weeks! 🌍

This summer, VUIM welcomed five international students as part of our annual Summer Exchange Program — four from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and one from Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) in Dubai.

All five are on their way to careers in medicine and spent two weeks immersed in integrative healthcare — joining our classes, observing treatments, and learning directly from Dr. Lao. They toured our Virginia campus and clinic, and also visited three of our valued community and clinical partners: Inova Hospital, Bread for the City, and Georgetown.

This is what global integrative medicine looks like in action. We're proud to be part of their journey. 🙏

They're Back — And They Brought the Whole Squad! 🎉

Jacob, Josiah & Johanna have officially caught the wellness bug — and we couldn't be more excited to see them back at VUIM Clinic! 🌿

This time, they took full advantage of our multi-table treatment room, making it easy for the whole crew to be seen together. Parents, kids, everyone in one space — no waiting, no juggling, just seamless care for the whole family.
