We’re proud to share that Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica has earned the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award, recognizing its commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based stroke care.

This national recognition reflects the dedication of our care teams to ensuring stroke patients receive timely treatment aligned with the latest research and national guidelines — helping save more lives and reduce disability.

Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica also received the American Heart Association’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes™ Honor Roll award. Target: Type 2 Diabetes aims to ensure patients with Type 2 diabetes, who may be at higher risk for complications, receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care when hospitalized due to stroke.

Weekend Traffic Alert for Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica 🚸

A portion of the parking lot near the entrance to the VillaWest Medical Office Building at Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic overnight for construction work on Friday, Aug. 21, through Saturday, Aug. 22.

Due to the temporary closure, patients and visitors needing to access VillaWest should enter through the west side of the canopy via the sidewalk.

The construction progress at Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica is hard to miss, and the new women’s care facility is becoming more visible every day. 🏗️

As work continues, the tower crane will help crews erect the remaining structural steel for the hospital’s four-story expansion. Each beam placed is another step toward expanding access to exceptional care and additional services for women across our region, helping the health system meet the region's growing needs for generations to come.

Visitors to Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica will continue to have dining options available during the upcoming cafeteria renovation project, which begins on June 2.

During construction, guests may enjoy:
• A temporary café space in VillaWest, Suite 102
• Grab-and-go options
• A food truck located near the picnic tables by the main entrance

Breakfast, lunch and dinner service will continue Monday through Friday while renovations are underway. We appreciate your patience as we improve the dining experience for our patients, visitors and team members.

A signature today becomes part of HER story tomorrow. ✍️🏗️🤍

On Monday, May 11, Tanner Health hosted a beam signing for team members at Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica. Throughout the afternoon, countless members of the hospital staff showed up, signed the beam and left their mark on what we’re building for HER.

Now, it’s your turn — community members are invited to participate in the beam signing and be part of the new Women’s Pavilion coming in 2027.
