OFFICIAL NOTICE OF TRANSITION đź’”
It is with heavy hearts, yet with gratitude to God for a life well lived, that the Alfred F. Wilson Funeral Home family announces the transition of our very own Deacon Benjamin Sexton of Winston, Georgia.
There are some lives that cannot be adequately described with just a few words, and Deacon Sexton lived such a life.
He was a God-fearing man, a loving husband, a devoted father, a faithful servant, and a man whose life reflected the heart of Christ. He was a singer, a wonderful cook, a gardener, and someone whose presence brought warmth wherever he went. He loved God, he loved his family, and he loved people.
But to us, this loss is especially personal.
Deacon Sexton was not simply someone we had the privilege of serving—he was family. He was also one of the original employees of Alfred F. Wilson Funeral Home, faithfully serving alongside us and becoming part of the very fabric of who we are today. His hands helped serve families, his voice brought joy, his wisdom left an impression, and his faithful presence will never be forgotten.
Today, we do not just mourn the passing of a faithful servant; we honor the life of a man who truly exemplified what it means to serve God and others with love, humility, and sincerity.
There are people who pass through our lives, and then there are people whose lives leave a permanent imprint. Deacon Benjamin Sexton left an imprint.
He will truly, deeply, and sincerely be missed.
We extend our love, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to his beloved family, church family, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love him.
Rest well, Deacon Sexton. Your labor, your love, and your legacy will not be forgotten.
All proclamations, resolutions, acknowledgments, condolences, and other expressions of sympathy may be submitted to Alfred F. Wilson Funeral Home via email at [email protected].
Funeral service arrangements will be announced at a later time.
