Thank you for years of support and kindness! After 5 wonderful years of business, Communitas Primary Care is closing its doors to clinical visits on March 31st, 2022. Dr. Roussel is on to the next chapter in his life as a rural hospitalist in Ketchikan, Alaska.

Update, HR 6199 allowing Americans to use their HSA on DPC membership has PASSED the House 277-142.

Now on to the Senate. We will send emails out shortly with updates on the counterpart Senate Bill 1358.

Exciting news: we are on the verge of a DPC Bill that could become LAW.

Currently HR 6317 has passed the Ways and Means committee and needs to make it to the House floor for a vote.

PLEASE, if you have a moment, send a letter of support to your local Congressman, asking him or her to support this bill to help make DPC a reality for all Americans. Below is a sample letter.

I am a Direct Primary Care patient at Communitas Primary Care in Baton Rouge. I believe that all Americans should have the opportunity to get care like this--ready access to the doctor with a long-standing primary care relationship.

PLEASE support the language from HR 365 (The Primary Care Enhancement Act) in HR 6317 and help pass this legislation. It is time that both sides acknowledge how important ready access to primary care is and I assure you that DPC is critical in accomplishing this task.

BISON meat is a healthy alternative to ground beef because...

1. Bison spend much of their time running around and (on occasion) charging things

2. Bison eat lots of grass, which is high in Omega 3's...

EXCEPT when they're being fed by nearby onlookers.
