Congratulations to Holly Jackson, Infection Prevention Nurse on celebrating 20 years of service at Aperion Care Vincennes! 🌟

Holly's healthcare journey began on July 11, 2006, when she joined the team as a CNA. In 2008, she became an LPN, gaining experience working as a floor nurse on every shift. She said, "Those early years provided me with a strong foundation in resident care and helped shape the nurse and leader I try to be today!"

"Over the past two decades, I have been fortunate to serve in many roles, including approximately 10 years in nurse management. I have worked as a Long-Term Care Unit Manager, Rehabilitation Unit Manager, Infection Prevention and Wound Care Nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), and Infection Prevention Nurse."

"My favorite role was serving as a Rehabilitation Unit Manager. I found great fulfillment in helping individuals heal, regain their strength, and successfully return home to their families. Watching residents achieve their goals and recover their independence was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career."

Like many healthcare professionals, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the landscape of healthcare, leading Holly back to the floor as a nurse before returning to a leadership role.

"Throughout my career, I have remained committed to learning and growth, including earning my Infection Prevention certification. Today, I continue serving as an Infection Prevention Nurse, combining clinical expertise, education, and leadership to support both residents and staff."

What has remained a constant throughout Holly's journey is her passion for helping others and finding joy in watching people grow, develop new skills, and achieve their goals. Education has always been especially important to her. She believes people learn best when they understand the "why" behind what they do, and she has always enjoyed teaching and mentoring others in a way that promotes understanding and confidence.

20 years later, Holly is grateful for the opportunities, challenges, friendships, and experiences that have shaped her career.

"This organization has been more than a workplaceβ€”it has been a home. I am honored to have spent the last two decades serving residents, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a profession that I love!"

Thank you for your dedication to our team and residents, Holly! We are so glad you're here! πŸ₯°πŸ‘
