THANK YOU!!!

To all our wonderful patients, we want to say a huge thank you for coming to us for your eye care needs. Unfortunately it is time for us to close the practice as Dr. Shea is moving with his family off the island. We truly have enjoyed caring for your eyes all these years. Give us a call, or swing by to say goodbye and pick up a copy of your records. The office will be closed as of July 4, 2025.

Construction is wrapping up and we're finishing up the details in our new location at 79 Beach Road #30 in the Tisbury Marketplace.

In honor of our move to our new location and to more clearly reflect our mission and purpose, we have changed our name to Vineyard Vision Care. As always we are committed to providing the most comprehensive and advanced eye care on Martha's Vineyard. The new location along with investments into all new equipment will make that easier, more efficient and more accessible to all.

Our target reopening date is July 8th, we can't wait to see you!! (pun definitely intended).

WE'RE MOVING!👓🕶

After 50 years at our current location, it's time to move our office to a more modern and accessible location. Construction is underway and due to be completed within the next few months.

Our new location will feature: a more open concept for easier frame shopping, exciting new eyewear options and the latest in optometric technology to support our mission of providing the highest level of eye care on Martha's Vineyard.

Spread the word and look out for our grand-opening announcement. In the meantime, what eye care products should we carry to make your lives easier? What eyewear brands and styles would you like to see in our new space?

It’s official, Dr. Ryan Shea is now the first and only certified, licensed optometrist on Martha’s Vineyard to treat glaucoma and any other eye-related conditions requiring drops or oral medications. Surgical management will still be referred to specialists, but this will absolutely reduce a vast number of needless referrals off-island. One step closer to full scope optometric care. Until 2021, Massachusetts has been the only state in the country to deny optometrists the opportunity to treat eye diseases like glaucoma and other conditions requiring the use of oral antivirals and antibiotics. This has resulted in unnecessary referrals to specialists and expensive trips off-island for our patients. Once the state finalizes the licensing process, Dr. Shea will be the first and only full-time optometrist on Martha’s Vineyard capable of treating those conditions. Stay tuned.
