"Doctors said just rest"
"Rest isn't a recovery plan. Here's what actually works."

Phase 1 — 0 to 48 hrs
Protect
Relative rest only. Sleep. Hydrate. No screens, no bright lights, no strenuous activity. This is the only phase where full rest is actually correct. After that is where the protocol matters.
Phase 2 — Days 3 to 7
Reintroduce gently
Light walking. Short screen sessions. Simple tasks that don't spike symptoms. Activity below your symptom threshold speeds recovery — inactivity slows it.
Phase 3 — Week 2 onward
Active rehab
Vestibular exercises. Eye tracking. Cognitive training. Light aerobic exercise. Balance and Vestibular work. This is where structured tools like Myndspark accelerate real progress.
Phase 4 — Week 5+
Return to life
Gradual return to work, sport, and normal demands — with monitoring. Progress is measurable. If symptoms persist past 4 weeks, seek specialist care.

FATIGUE is a very common symptom of a concussion.
Concussion fatigue is your brain struggling to connect. Here’s how to help it.

After a concussion, your neural pathways get disrupted — and that’s what’s making you exhausted, foggy, and frustrated.

The Myndspark home therapy tool is designed to rebuild those connections by activating the 6 systems your brain needs to recover:

Vision · Logic · Memory · Vestibular ·Motor · Language

When these pathway reconnect by completing simultaneous activation, fatigue fade and focus returns. Basically, you can feel like yourself again.

Used currently in concussion clinics. Done from home. Built for your recovery.

7 Concussion Symptoms People Ignore (That Are Actually Treatable)”

1. 🧠 Brain Fog

That heavy, “thinking through mud” feeling — difficulty concentrating, processing information slowly, or losing your train of thought mid-sentence.

2. 😴 Sleep Disturbances

Sleeping too much, too little, or waking constantly. The brain regulates sleep — when it’s injured, sleep cycles break down.

3. 💡 Light & Noise Sensitivity

Bright screens, fluorescent lights, loud spaces feel unbearable. Many people just avoid them and “manage” — but photophobia and phonophobia are treatable through vestibular therapy and neurological rehab.

4. 😟 Mood Changes & Anxiety

Sudden irritability, low mood, or anxiety that wasn’t there before the injury. This is neurochemical — the injured brain struggles to regulate emotions. Commonly misdiagnosed as depression or stress unrelated to the concussion.

5. 🗂️ Memory & Word-Finding Problems

Forgetting names, losing words mid-conversation, or blanking on things you know well. Cognitive therapy and structured brain training can significantly improve this.

6. 🤕 Persistent Headaches

Most people expect headaches to disappear in days. When they linger for weeks or months, they’re often written off as migraines or tension headaches — when they’re actually post-concussion headaches with a specific and treatable origin.

7. 😵 Dizziness & Balance Issues

Feeling off-balance, dizzy when moving your head, or unsteady on your feet. This points to vestibular system disruption.

We target many of these symptoms in our home concussion tool. We aim to build new neural connections that improve efficiency and decrease symptoms.

Try our tool today on your own schedule and in the comfort of your own home. 🏡

🧠 Managing Post-Concussion Headaches: What You Need to Know

If you or someone you love is dealing with headaches after a concussion, you’re not alone — it’s one of the most common symptoms of post-concussion syndrome. Here are some evidence-based tips to help:

💤 Prioritize rest — but not too much. Complete rest for 24–48 hours is helpful early on, but prolonged inactivity can actually make headaches worse. Gradual, gentle activity is key.

💧 Stay hydrated. Dehydration is a major headache trigger. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water a day.

📵 Reduce screen time. Phones, tablets, and TVs can overstimulate a recovering brain. Take regular breaks and use blue light filters.

☀️ Keep a consistent sleep schedule. Going to bed and waking up at the same time each day supports brain recovery.

🚫 Be cautious with pain relievers. Over-the-counter medications like ibuprofen or acetaminophen can help, but using them too frequently can lead to medication overuse headaches — always follow your doctor’s guidance.

📋 Track your triggers. Bright lights, loud noises, stress, and certain foods can worsen symptoms. Keeping a headache diary can help you identify patterns.

👩‍⚕️ See a specialist if headaches persist. If symptoms last more than a few weeks, a neurologist or concussion specialist can explore other treatments like physical therapy, vestibular therapy, or prescription options.

Recovery takes time — be patient with yourself. 💙

👁️ Here's something most people don't know about concussion recovery:
Vision is a brain function — and it's one of the first things affected after a head injury.
Up to 90% of the brain's pathways are involved in vision processing. So when your brain takes a hit, your visual system does too. That's why so many concussion survivors deal with blurry vision, headaches, light sensitivity, brain fog, and eye strain that just won't quit.
The root cause? Your eyes have lost the ability to work together — and your brain is burning energy trying to compensate.

💡 That's where the Brock String comes in.
This simple at-home tool trains your brain to coordinate both eyes to focus on the same point at the same time — a skill called eye teaming. As your visual system realigns, that neurological overload decreases, and so do your symptoms.
Small tool. Big impact. 🧠

Have visual symptoms been part of your recovery journey? We include a Brock String in our home therapy concussion tool that can get you started on your path to improving your vision and visual processing skills.Drop a comment — you're not alone. 💙
