If you’ve ever been out to sea- you know how fast the winds can change… from the calm to a storm rolling in and suddenly all you imagined is blown out in an instant.
Funny how life is like that sometimes too. Setbacks- unexpected loss, uncertainty moves in and tests the foundation of your grit & faith.
Just when I was willing to set some lofty goals and 2026 was the year we’d run for them- a setback. Nothing we hadn’t struggled with before, however this time we finally got what feels like possible answers and it’s clear a more intensive intervention is needed for my sweet gritty and resilient mare.
As much as I’ve wanted answers, it also came with a load of emotions I wasn’t expecting. A weight of the uncertainty, the unknown.. a loss of perceived control- and it hit me hard.
I’ve processed, I’ve prayed, I’ve continued to pursue answers and shook off the doubt that rolled in and rallied with the rest of my 4 legged team with a new belief that they are ready to carry the torch.. if I will allow them to do it.
Getting out of my own way so I move outta theirs…
We don’t have a clear plan yet, however this girl has a vaca for the foreseeable future and she’s not thrilled about it so hopefully she’ll come around. ❤️❤️
Until then- the obstacle I face will become a time I look back and see all the growth that happened because I gave myself to the challenge rather than be defeated by it. 🙏
