Today we showed our amazing team a little extra appreciation with a warm and delicious soup day! Our staff enjoyed homemade tortilla soup and taco soup — the perfect way to share a meal and say thank you for all the hard work, dedication, and compassion they bring every day. ❤️

Words of Wisdom from Our Residents ❤️

We asked our residents to share some of the best advice they’ve learned throughout their lives, and they had some wonderful words to share. Their wisdom reminds us that the little things we do every day can make a big difference.

🏡 When you first move out on your own:
• Pay your bills on time.
• When grocery shopping, make a list and stick to it.
• Work every day that you can.
• Put 10% of your paycheck back for emergencies. If you have to use your emergency fund, pay yourself back twice as much.
• Learn to take care of what you have. You don’t always need something new—fix what you have.
• Life is not a party. The choices you make for your body today will catch up with you over time.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parenting advice:
• Be consistent. Show up.
• Never lie to your children. Eventually, they will figure it out, and trust is hard to rebuild.
• Pay attention—your children will show you who they are.
• Walk away when you’re angry.
• Quality time is what they will remember. Make time for family each week.

We are so thankful for the stories, lessons, and life experiences our residents share with us. There is so much wisdom in every generation. ❤️

We had some great competition during our game today! Richard was the first one to go out and looked like he had it in the bag… but Steve wasn’t giving up! He caught up and pulled out the win by just 50 points!
