Teachers, this one’s for YOU! 🍎📚

Back-to-school season means busy classrooms, packed schedules, and sometimes… holding your bladder way longer than you should.

Repeatedly delaying bathroom breaks can keep your pelvic floor muscles “on” for too long, making it harder for them to fully relax and coordinate when you finally get the chance to go.

This school year, try to:
✨ Plan bathroom breaks into your day
✨ Avoid routinely holding your bladder for hours
✨ Give yourself time to fully empty—no rushing!
✨ Take a few slow diaphragmatic breaths and consciously relax your pelvic floor

And remember: you don’t have to wait until you’re leaking, having urgency, or experiencing pelvic pain to get help.

If your bladder or pelvic floor is making your workday harder, we can help. 💚

📲 Ready to stop working around your pelvic floor symptoms? Schedule an appointment with Her Health Therapy Center—call, text, or reach out through our website.

👀 Okay but… some of these are KIND OF SUS.

You're not lazy. You're not broken. Nobody told you this was treatable. 🌸

If you've been leaking when you sneeze, feeling pelvic pressure, or quietly avoiding workouts you used to love, you are not alone, and you are not overreacting.

Here's the truth: common does not mean normal. "It's just part of having kids" is one of the biggest myths in women's health, and it's kept too many women suffering in silence for way too long.

The good news? This is treatable. Pelvic floor physical therapy gets to the root cause, not just the symptom, with a plan made specifically for your body.

Why does the sound of running water make you suddenly have to p*e?!

You’re outside, hear a hose running, a fountain, a stream… or even turn on the shower—and suddenly your bladder is like “WE NEED TO GO. NOW.” 😂

There’s actually a reason for this.

Your brain can learn to associate the sound and sensation of running water with urinating. Over time, that cue can trigger an urge even when your bladder isn’t truly full.

If this happens to you, try:
✨ Pause instead of immediately rushing to the bathroom
✨ Take a few slow, relaxed breaths
✨ Distract yourself and let the urge settle
✨ Avoid going “just in case” every time you hear water
✨ Practice gradually teaching your bladder that running water ≠ time to p*e

And if you’re constantly dealing with urgency, frequency, or feeling like you have to sprint to the bathroom, pelvic floor PT can help retrain these bladder signals.

📲 Ready to stop letting your bladder run the show? Call, text, or reach out to Her Health Therapy Center to see how pelvic floor PT can help!

“Is it normal?” is one of the most common questions we hear.

Leaking when you sneeze? ❌
Pain with s3x? ❌
Avoiding the trampoline?❌
Constipation that you’ve just learned to live with? ❌

Just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s normal or something you have to accept.

Your body is communicating with you, and there are effective treatments that can help. Pelvic floor physical therapy addresses the root cause—not just the symptoms—so you can get back to living without constantly planning around your bladder, bowels, or pain.

You don’t have to “just deal with it.”

✨ If you’ve been wondering whether your symptoms are something you should live with, this is your sign to get evaluated.

📞 Call or text us to schedule an appointment or learn more about how pelvic floor physical therapy can help.
