People often ask me how I became a reiki practitioner.
The truth is, it wasn’t something I ever planned.
Years before I ever became a practitioner, I booked a reiki session. I remember walking out thinking, “What just happened?” I couldn’t explain what I had experienced, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what I thought about it.
I didn’t think about Reiki again for years.
A few years later, after my second son was born, I was struggling postpartum. I didn’t feel like myself, and I knew I needed something. One afternoon, while I was driving, I had the thought, “Maybe I should give reiki another shot.”
As I finished that thought, a car pulled in front of me.
The license plate read REIKI.
Whether you believe in signs or think it was simply a coincidence, it was enough for me to make the appointment.
I found a practitioner I really connected with and started seeing her consistently. Those sessions became part of my own healing, and over time they sparked a curiosity to learn more.
That curiosity led me to Reiki I, then Reiki II, and eventually Reiki Master.
I never took those classes because I thought I’d one day have a Reiki business. I took them because I wanted to understand something that had become such an important part of my own healing.
If someone had told me back then that one appointment would eventually become my career, I never would have believed them.
Looking back now, I’m so grateful I decided to make that appointment.✨❤️
