My heart is truly full today! I had the opportunity to lead a guided meditation with some wonderful educators. Our day to day life can be challenging at times, so why not take the time for rest and relaxation ?

Health is wealth. I understand the importance of mindfulness and self care, you only get one you!

Let’s talk rushing labor along and why it’s unnecessary at times!

Sometimes our bodies need a bit of a push while in labor BUT sometimes we just simply have to trust our body to do its own thing!

It’s rare to have a labor that last 3 hours or less. The time increases based on whether or not this is pregnancy number 1, your baby’s presentation, and even your emotional state. So why do providers try to rush the baby out?

Rushing baby out can often lead to complications, a distressed birthing individual and baby, and unnecessary medical interventions.

Trust that your body knows what to do. You have the right to informed consent/ decisions so ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS!

Follow your intuition, if it doesn’t feel right then it most likely isn’t.

Oh how excited I am to share such amazing news with my tribe💛

Back in January I made the challenging decision to take a break from doula work. I felt this was needed for my mental and physical wellbeing (I was working full time and balancing birthwork). I know now that I was neglecting a passion AND my calling.

I told myself during this time I wanted to further my education and grow as a doula. I yearn for community and learning! I asked myself “What could help me grow as a doula?” And “What more would I like to learn?” I then found a program that caught my attention

Just a couple of days ago I received an email stating that my story stood out and that I MISS MYLAH was offered a scholarship! This is so important to me, I am extremely grateful ☺️

I’m so excited to soon be educated in full-spectrum support (fertility and loss included). Stay tuned🥰
