BOTS: I noticed some strange comments after posting about AI.

A few comments showed up that sounded almost normal at first glance, but when I actually read them, they had absolutely nothing to do with what I had posted.

Another comment, since hidden, discussed what a nice lady and now she is dead and god bless her. When I looked at the comment account it repeatedly posted MMA wrestling content.

It made me look a little more closely at what we're actually interacting with online.

AI's Explanation: A bot isn't necessarily an obviously fake account anymore. Some accounts are completely automated, while others are real accounts using automated systems to search for certain words or topics and then comment, like, follow, or engage.

And AI is a very active keyword right now.

So simply posting about AI can apparently bring your content into the path of automated accounts looking for posts on that subject. Some of these systems even use AI to write their comments, which is why something can sound reasonably intelligent while making absolutely no sense in relation to what you actually said.

My comment: We already have to discern the information we're consuming and whether the interaction we're having is actually coming from a human being. Let's see if this post draws more similar responses.
