Summer Days was a whole vibe today ☀️😎

Local vendors and food trucks popped up so our team could shop, corvettes rolled in to help raise awareness for prostate cancer screenings and we screened 7 men 🚗💙🩺✨…

…and yes, we dunked leaders who hit 85%+ on employee engagement survey responses 💦😂

Happy 15th anniversary from the Night Shift who was there the day of the move!! 🥳🌙🌠

Ricky from housekeeping said people used to call SPAH the Taj Mahal because of the grand staircase and Donald from security joked saying, "I thought people were going to start having their weddings here."

Stacie, director of mission, said a few years ago a colleague retired and did a photoshoot coming down the staircase to celebrate the moment ☺️❤️🏥

Do you recognize any of these faces? ☺️

Today marks 15 years since our team moved patients from Sentara Bayside and babies from Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital into the newly built Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. 🥳

Since opening in 2011, we have grown into a destination for maternity care, advanced heart and vascular services, orthopedic and spine care, breast health, and stroke care, while becoming the second hospital in Hampton Roads to earn Magnet with Distinction.

Most recently, we brought the first hospital-based hyperbaric oxygen chambers to Virginia Beach.

Here's to 15 years of innovation, compassion, and exceptional care close to home.🏥

💙 Four-year-old Cayden recently stopped by Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, where he was born, to donate two backpacks for local students.

When his mom asked why he wanted to give, Cayden had a simple answer:
"Because other kids need them, Mommy."

One of the backpacks was even Batman-themed. 🦇

Thank you, Cayden, for helping other children start the school year off right.

Check out the new wheels! 🛺 😎

We're very thankful to our hospital auxiliary who raised enough funds to donate a golf cart to the hospital.

This will allow volunteers to assist patients with wayfinding around the campus.

We are currently looking for volunteers to operate the golf cart. It's a great way to keep busy and meet new people.

Ready before the moment calls for it.

Since 2014, we've maintained a specialized isolation unit designed to safely care for patients with highly consequential infectious diseases, including Ebola, COVID-19, and emerging viruses like Hantavirus. Patients can be treated here for up to 36 hours and are then transferred to a higher-level facility.

Fortunately, experts say Hantavirus is difficult to spread. But if a suspected case were to arise in Hampton Roads, our teams are ready. 💙
