LOOK WHO I RAN INTO last month at a birth 😍 Christi has not been to a birth in 7+ years… she decided to put on her doula hat for an old repeat client/good friend. For all those wondering… though the birth was beautiful it did not persuade her to go back on call 🤣 I did enjoy talking about birth with her and such a gift to see each other in our doula clothes 🥰

TWINS 💖💖 what a journey!! Spontaneous labor at 36 weeks. Arrived 6cm. I had her labor on the toilet for maybe 2 contractions, then slight lunge on step stool for maybe 2 contractions, then hip squeeze for a few contractions… COMPLETE 😳😃 pushing was a bit trickier and much longer. This mama endured and her girls were born 3 minutes apart. Baby B came so fast she didn’t realize she was born 😅 SNG staff was amazing and yes I was allowed in the OR 😊

This lady is the fastest birther I know 🚀 She has hired me to be her doula 4 times 😍 However I have only seen 1 baby’s birth 🙃 On the day of this little ones birth, mama was out showing a house (Realtor) 2 hours before holding her baby 😳 Always an honor to support… prenatally, minutes after birth and postpartum 🥰

People often ask me what’s it like to be at a home birth. My answer always surprises them “normal” I typically have 10% of my clients deliver at home. This year it’s looking closer to 20%
