If you always know how everyone in the room feels, except you, this is for you.

Somewhere, you learned that other people's feelings were your responsibility, that if someone was upset it was yours to fix. So you became an expert in everyone else's emotions, and a stranger to your own.

You were never responsible for how everyone else feels. You just exhaust yourself trying.
The work is finding your way back to what you feel.

We’ve turned terms like “narcissist” and “personality disorder” into shortcuts for describing someone as toxic, manipulative, or simply a bad person.
But the reality is far more complex.

People with personality disorders often struggle with emotional closeness and distance at the same time. They may fear being abandoned, but also feel overwhelmed when someone gets too close.

Healthy relationships require us to tolerate both connection and separation.
When someone fears both, they can become trapped somewhere in the middle.

Understanding the pattern doesn’t excuse harmful behavior.
But it does help us move beyond labels and see what may actually be happening underneath.

What do you think has social media made us too quick to diagnose people?

You say you're scared of being single. But be honest, it's not the quiet nights or the empty apartment.

Here's what you're actually afraid of. Not being alone. Being unchosen. Somewhere, you decided that if no one picks you, it says something about your worth. That single means unlovable, left behind, not enough.

So you stay in relationships that stopped fitting, you panic when one ends, you settle for almost.
Not because you can't be alone, but because being alone would make you face a story you've been outrunning: that your worth was never up for a vote.

You weren't afraid of the quiet.
You were afraid of what you'd have to stop believing about yourself.

Most people aren't using these terms the way psychiatry does.

After Obsession, social media has been flooded with labels like psychopath, sociopath, and narcissist. But these aren't interchangeable and they're not meant to describe anyone we simply dislike.

Psychosis, Antisocial Personality Disorder, and other personality disorders are distinct clinical conditions with different diagnostic criteria.

When we use psychiatric labels casually, we don't just spread misinformation, we also increase the stigma surrounding real mental health conditions.

Understanding the difference helps us have better conversations about relationships, behavior, and mental health.

Here's something that sounds backwards but isn't. The more right you get, the further they go.

The second you're proving you're right, they stop being your partner and start being your defendant. And no one opens up to the person prosecuting them. So you win the point and lose the person, every time.

But sit with why you reach for right in the first place. It isn't cruelty.

Being right feels safer than being hurt. It's armor, and armor keeps out everyone, including the person you love. You were never trying to win.

You were trying to feel safe. Safe and close rarely happen at once.

You can win every argument and still lose the relationship.

Being "right" was never the goal, feeling safe was.

But when every disagreement turns into a courtroom, your partner stops opening up... and starts shutting down.

Recognize the pattern?
That 's step one.
