Mamas, how many hours have you spent looking down at your baby this week? 🤱
Between breastfeeding, contact naps, rocking, pumping, carrying the car seat and everything else that comes with caring for a new baby, your body is doing A LOT.
One of the most common things I hear from postpartum moms is, “My neck and shoulders are killing me.”
And it makes sense.
Feeding often means spending long periods looking down, rounding your shoulders and holding your body in positions you probably wouldn’t stay in otherwise—then doing it again a few hours later.
A few small changes in positioning can make a big difference in how your body feels. Bring baby to you, support your arms and back, relax your shoulders, and remember to bring your head back to neutral once baby is settled.
And most importantly: taking care of yourself isn’t taking anything away from taking care of your baby.
This Breastfeeding Month, we’re talking about supporting the whole breastfeeding team—baby AND mom. 🤍
📌 Save this one for your next feeding, or send it to a breastfeeding mama who needs the reminder.
