It was awesome to have our AOS crew come together and enjoy a beautiful night in Downtown Norfolk! Events like these remind us of the importance of staying active, building connections, and celebrating the teamwork that makes AOS such a special place.

A huge thank you to J&A Racing for once again organizing the best office party of the year! From the race to the post-event festivities, every moment was a success.

And the celebrations don’t stop there... 🎉 Our team, BONE TO RUN, proudly took home the award for Best T-Shirt Design! 🦴🏃

🏆 Congratulations to Our 2025–2026 AOS Athletes of the Year! 🏆

Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists is proud to recognize two outstanding student-athletes from Norfolk Public Schools as our Athletes of the Year.

🏈 Male Athlete of the Year: Isaiah "Ike" Simmons, Maury High School
The Commodore Corner
A 3-time First Team All-State linebacker, team captain, 3-time VHSL Class 5 State Champion, #11 overall recruit in Virginia, and University of Pittsburgh commit. Isaiah has demonstrated exceptional leadership, athletic achievement, and dedication both on and off the field. He also excels in the classroom, maintaining an impressive 3.7 GPA while serving as a role model throughout the Maury community.

🏃🏿‍♀️ Female Athlete of the Year: Agape Zinsou, Lake Taylor High School
Agape is an accomplished sprinter, 2-year team captain, 1st place Regional Champion (55m, 300m, 4x200 relay), Senior Class President, and Bert Harrell Sportsmanship Award Winner who continues to set the standard for excellence. This year, she captured multiple regional and district titles while maintaining a 3.8 GPA. Her commitment to leadership, academics, athletics, and community service makes her an exceptional representative of Lake Taylor High School.

To honor their achievements, both Isaiah and Agape were awarded a $500 scholarship from Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists.

We congratulate these remarkable student-athletes on their accomplishments and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.

⚽️ Sand, soccer, sunshine, and a whole lot of competition are headed to Buckroe Beach this weekend!

Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists is proud to partner with the Virginia Sand Soccer Championships by providing on-site Athletic Trainers and First Aid services for the more than 96 teams competing throughout the weekend. From youth divisions to adult competition, this incredible event brings athletes, families, and fans together for one of the region's most unique sporting traditions.

And while our Athletic Trainers will be helping keep athletes safe, you'll also find AOS staff members competing in the tournament as Team Turf Toes! 🏖️⚽️
