🌟 Proud to See Our CHWs Leading the Way! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud of Elsy Ayala and Olidia Montoya for representing Cass County Health Department at the Illinois Public Health Association and sharing their presentation, “Empowering CHWs as Connectors, Advocates and Leaders.” 👏

Their presentation highlighted the importance and impact of Community Health Workers and the many ways CHWs strengthen public health by meeting people where they are, building trust, connecting individuals to resources, advocating for their needs, and helping communities navigate an often complicated healthcare and social service system.

As connectors, advocates, and leaders, CHWs are an essential part of a stronger, more accessible, and more community-centered public health system.

We’re proud to see Elsy and Olidia sharing the important work happening right here in Cass County and helping shine a light on the incredible impact of CHWs across Illinois. 💙

Way to represent CCHD and Cass County, Elsy & Olidia! We’re so proud of you! 🎉
