Eye Clinic North Visit Eye Clinic North for your complete family eye care needs! The Practice was founded in 1930 by Dr. I. E. MacDonald.

As a former patient of his, Dr. Les Sipola joined his practice in 1952 and were known as MacDonald and Sipola, Optometrists. Dr. Les Sipola's son, Dr. Don Sipola, joined the practice in 1973. Dr. Don Sipola's son, Dr. Matthew Sipola, joined the family practice in 2014. Dr. Matthew Sipola represents the third generation Sipola and the fourth generation Optometrist to staff the longest continuously

operating eye clinic in Northern Minnesota. We have prided ourselves on excellence in eyecare and have cared for multiple generations of "Rangers," as though they were part of our extended family.

We had the privilege of caring for someone who helped build the foundation of Eye Clinic North- Dr. Don Sipola.

After years of serving patients in our community, Dr. Don recently underwent cataract surgery through our co-management partnership with OVO Lasik and Lens’s world-class ophthalmology team. Seeing him experience the same trusted, cutting-edge care that we provide to our patients every day was truly special.

With advanced office-based laser assisted cataract surgery and seamless collaboration between optometry and ophthalmology, we’re proud to offer exceptional outcomes and a patient experience centered on comfort, convenience, and personalized care.
