We are excited to welcome our summer intern, Andrea, to the True North HealthWorks team! 🎉

Andrea is currently attending UCLA and pursuing her goal of becoming a Physician Assistant (PA). Throughout the summer, she’ll spend time across all three of our departments, supporting projects and gaining hands-on experience along the way.

During her time with us, Andrea will explore the full journey of healthcare and medical careers- from inspiring interest at a young age through education and career development, to supporting professionals in everyday practice.

We’re excited to have her perspective, energy, and enthusiasm as we continue to grow and expand our impact. Welcome to the team, Andrea! ✨

This Sunday is World Blood Donor Day. Our Junior Medical Academy students visited the Central California Blood Center to learn firsthand about the life-saving impact of blood donation and the importance of giving back to our community.

We are proud to help students explore healthcare careers while learning how small acts of service can make a big difference.

True North HealthWorks recently had the opportunity to volunteer with Dry Creek Nursery of the Sequoia Riverlands Trust!

Dry Creek Nursery is located at the entrance of the Dry Creek Nature Preserve and houses a variety of local plants available for the public to purchase. The team at the Nursery had a large project that was too big for their small team- we were happy to help.

In efforts to create new irrigation systems throughout the nursery, our TNHW team lined up to safely transport plants back and forth as well as moving tables where they needed to be for the new structure. Throughout the process, there was laughter, conversations, and team collaboration.

With everyone’s contribution, we were able to complete the project in just a few hours. We are fortunate and thankful for opportunities like this to give back to our community in new ways.

Earlier this week we had the pleasure of celebrating our 2026 True North HealthWorks Scholar recipients at a special luncheon!

Students had the opportunity to connect with fellow scholarship recipients, share their college plans, and discuss their aspirations for careers in healthcare. The room was filled with excitement, ambition, and a shared passion for making a difference in the lives of others.

We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to watching them take the next steps toward becoming the future of healthcare.

Our Spring Junior Medical Academy Competition was a huge success!

Students from Visalia and Porterville Unified School Districts joined us for an exciting day of friendly competition, participating in skill demonstrations, trivia, puzzles, and interactive activities that highlighted the knowledge they gained through the Junior Medical Academy curriculum.

Throughout the event, students showcased their abilities by performing CPR compressions, identifying body systems, answering medical trivia questions, and collaborating on challenging puzzles. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication were wonderful to see.

We are also incredibly grateful for the amazing turnout of volunteers whose support and encouragement helped make the event run smoothly from start to finish.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated and helped make the day such a memorable success!
