Please join us in congratulating Kalin Barrus, our June Rising Star, and Heath Brown, our July Rising Star!

Kalin has been a dedicated CNA at The Waters of Wabash West for more than two years after first completing her clinical training with us. She is consistently recognized for her positive attitude, willingness to lend a helping hand, and commitment to going above and beyond for both residents and teammates. Her nomination came from a hospice CNA who was especially touched by the kindness, patience, and compassion Kalin showed while assisting with resident care—qualities that truly reflect the heart of caregiving.

Our July Rising Star, Heath, serves as our incredible Maintenance Director and has been recognized not only by his coworkers but also by residents’ family members for his exceptional compassion and servant heart. One family shared a heartfelt compliment after Heath helped transport their loved one to an appointment, praising his patience, kindness, and genuine care. No matter the task, Heath is always ready to step in and make a positive difference.

We are incredibly grateful to have both Kalin and Heath as part of The Waters of Wabash West family. Their dedication, teamwork, and compassion make a lasting impact on our residents, families, and fellow team members every single day.

💙🌭 Father’s Day Fun at The Waters of Wabash West! 🌭💙

Our gentlemen enjoyed a relaxing Father’s Day celebration out on the front porch, soaking up the sunshine and spending time together on a beautiful afternoon.

A special thank you to Activity Director Tammy for bringing in delicious B&K hot dogs with all the classic sides—a perfect summertime meal that everyone enjoyed! ☀️

We’d also like to thank Kerlock Cookie Company for the adorable Father’s Day cookie sets. These sweet treats were a wonderful addition to our gift bags and brought plenty of smiles to our residents throughout the day. 🍪🎁

Thank you to everyone who helped make Father’s Day so special for the amazing fathers and father figures in our community!

As comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our CNAs and QMAs for the dedication and compassion they show every single day.

We ended the week on a fun note with a Hawaiian-themed day to celebrate! A special thank you to Janet from Heart to Heart Hospice for bringing in delicious ice cream treats—what a sweet way to honor our team! 🌺

Congratulations to Bailee for winning the final raffle prize of the week—an Amazon Echo! Our residents had so much fun handing out raffle tickets to staff and making sure each of you knew just how much your care means to them. We also welcomed three new CNA’s to our team today. If you see some new friendly faces, be sure to say hello! 👋

We appreciate our incredible staff every day, and this week gave us a chance to spoil you just a little extra! Mahalo to all of you for everything you do!

We are continuing to celebrate our amazing CNA’s and QMA’s— and we’re having so much fun honoring the heart of our care team!

Western Day was a hit! Our team brought on the boots, hats, and smiles for a fun themed day that had everyone feeling festive. 🤠

A huge thank you to Magnolia Medical Massage for coming in and providing relaxing chair massages to our hardworking, well-deserving CNA’s! We enjoyed a delicious taco bar for lunch — a perfect treat to celebrate our team’s hard work. 🌮

Congratulations to Angela on winning the luggage set — hope it brings many great adventures! 🧳

To all of our CNA’s and QMA’s — thank you for your compassion, strength, and dedication every day. We appreciate you more than words can say!
