We'll be joining Gather and Grow Food Shelf & Connection Center tonight in Waconia City Square Park for National Night Out! Come find our table and say hi, from 5-7!

Tomorrow night, we're heading to City Square Park for Waconia's National Night Out. From 5 to 7 pm, come enjoy food truck bites, a pop up splash pad, yard games, and a chance to meet local first responders. We'll be there too, so stop by and say hello, and even come with a food donation!

This is one of our favorite nights of summer because it's simply neighbors spending time with neighbors. Bring the family, bring a friend, and we'll see you at the park.

Join us in prayer for our home and for the women we have the privilege of serving. We pray that expectant and new moms who are seeking support will find their way to us, and that we may walk alongside them with compassion, encouragement, and the care they need. Amen.

As the old saying goes, “Many hands make light work.” Enkrateia House of Hope is constantly looking for dedicated volunteers to step up and commit. This is especially helpful the week leading up to the due date and the week following the delivery. Finding someone who is willing to stay with the mom following delivery to give respite or even guidance is huge. It’s not all baby holding either, as they can always use a hand with outside yard work and gardening. Volunteers use an app called Homebase, where they can see shifts that need to be filled, and when they stop by the house they can check their individual calendars, so volunteers can see where rides are needed. They are fortunate to have a layout that has on a separate floor a bedroom where a volunteer can sleep and stay. Most of the moms that utilize the home have zero support system, so the volunteers are all they have. For more information and to inquire about other donations, please reach out on their website.
