Eating healthy is not the same as eating for your goals. It is soooo easy to over eat healthy foods. Especially those high in fat. However, it’s just as easy to be under-eating too. Summer doesn’t have to mean starting over in the fall. You can enjoy the vacations, BBQs, pool days, and late nights without putting your goals on hold. The goal is never perfection. It’s building habits that fit your real life so you can make memories and still feel strong, energized, and confident all season long.

-You’ve read the posts, saved the recipes, bought the protein powder, and started over more times than you can count.

But somehow you’re still wondering what to eat, guessing on calories and macros, waiting for motivation to show up, feeling overwhelmed planning meals for your family, and a struggling to stay consistent longer than a few weeks. Grocery haul!
I say it every time, stick to the basics. You don’t need all the extra items labeled high protein, this or that. Fruits, veggies, and protein. Boom!!

A trip doesn’t have to derail you. In fact, it should be apart of your life especially if you change your mindset from always having to get back on track. While on my own bachelorette trip I chose foods at breakfast, lunch, and dinner that made me feel good. I had power bowls, sushi, hibachi, steak, and on the final night, dessert. I never walked from a meal feeling overly stuffed or gross. Why? Because I chose items that I know would leave me feeling good. We also stayed active between camelback via Echo trail, a 50 minute workout, and walking around old Scottsdale steps were always hit and I didn’t feel bad about a few hours at the pool. Sleep may have been funky between the time change and being out but every night we still hit 6-7 hours!
So guess what, yes you can hit your goals and enjoy a trip!!
