We are incredibly proud and excited to announce that Hale Ola Pet Hospital is officially AAHA-accredited! 🎉

So, what does AAHA accreditation mean?

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation is a voluntary achievement that recognizes veterinary hospitals committed to providing high-quality care and maintaining rigorous standards in veterinary medicine.

To earn accreditation, our hospital underwent a comprehensive evaluation covering many areas of veterinary care and hospital operations, including:

Patient care and safety
Anesthesia and pain management
Dentistry
Medical records
Diagnostic and laboratory services
Hospital equipment and facilities
Team training and development
Client communication
Overall quality of care

AAHA accreditation is not simply a title. It represents our commitment to continuously improving our hospital, our medicine, and the experience we provide to every patient and family who walks through our doors.

Only about 15% of veterinary practices in the United States and Canada have earned AAHA accreditation, making this a truly meaningful accomplishment for our team.

🐾 National ID Your Pet Day 🏷️

Today is a great reminder to make sure your pet has proper identification. Whether it's a collar with an up-to-date ID tag or a registered microchip, having current identification greatly increases the chances of being reunited if your pet ever gets lost.

Take a few minutes today to:

• Check that your pet's ID tag is easy to read and has your current contact information.
• Verify that your pet's microchip is registered and your contact details are up to date.
• Replace worn or missing tags if needed.

🎆 Holiday Hours Reminder: CLOSED

We will be observing the holiday and will be closed on July 4. We hope you have a fun and safe holiday with your family—including your furry friends!

Remember that fireworks can be stressful for pets. Keep them indoors, make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date, and provide a quiet, comfortable space where they can feel secure.

If your pet experiences a medical emergency while we are closed, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

We will reopen 7/5/26 at 8am.

“First vet visit = officially a big puppy milestone 🐾✨

This adorable little one came in for their very first visit AND their first nail trim — and they did such an amazing job! 🐶💅

New experiences can feel a little scary for puppies, so we work hard to make every first visit calm, positive, and full of treats, praise, and gentle care. Early happy visits help build confidence and make future vet trips so much easier for both pets and parents 💕

This appointment included lots of tail wags, tiny paw handling practice, and a fresh pawdicure to keep those growing puppy nails healthy and comfortable.

Safe to say this sweet pup stole everyone’s hearts before even leaving the exam room 🥹🐾
