What a week of celebrating our amazing CNAs at The Waters of Wakarusa! 💙

🧁 Monday: Muffins and an ice cream truck for residents and staff because we’d be muffin without you! CNAs also received Swedish Fish with a note reminding them they are O’Fish’ally the Best!

🥪 Tuesday: Subway sandwiches with the message, “No substitutions for you!” plus Starburst goodie bags because we are bursting with appreciation for our incredible CNAs.

☕ Wednesday: A local coffee company treated staff to specialty coffee drinks and donuts. We handed out fun socks because our CNAs truly knock our socks off!

🌮 Thursday: A delicious nacho bar and goodie bags filled with nuts and pretzels. After all, we’d be nuts if we didn’t thank you, and we would knot be the same without you!

🍌 Friday: Today we are closing out the week with a banana split bar and Reese’s treats to remind our team, “Have we told you RECEntly that you’re fun to work with?”

Thank you to our dedicated CNAs for the compassion, kindness, and hard work you show every day. Your commitment to our residents does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for each and every one of you. Happy ! 🎉

What makes our team truly special is the way you support one another. You exemplify what it means to be a family—always showing up for each other, working together, and demonstrating outstanding teamwork through every challenge and every success.

A little to the Maple Syrup Festival! 🍁

Since the parade passed right by our building, everyone came outside to enjoy the fun and cheer on the floats. We also decorated our mini van, which proudly cruised through the parade route — and residents loved spotting it along the way! 🚐

Of course, there may have been a few sweet treats handed out too! 🍬

We had the best time celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care Week here at The Waters!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make it so special.

From a hippie day, to a zoo visit, a lively game of whack-a-mole hunt, and even a photo shoot -every moment was filled with laughter, smiles, and memories to cherish.

Here’s to our incredible team, residents, and community for making this past week unforgettable! ❤️

We’re so lucky to have the most dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking nurses around. While Nurses Week officially kicks off today (May 6), we couldn’t wait to start the celebration—we’ve been honoring our incredible team all week long!

At The Waters of Wakarusa, it’s just as important to us to create a fun place to work as it is a fun place to live! 🎉

Last week, our staff celebrated by taste-testing delicious meatballs with marinara and BBQ sauce — a flavorful way to bring everyone together! 🍝

We also got creative with a Friday the 13th challenge, inviting staff to write a 13-word poem. Our residents had the honor of choosing the winner, and congratulations to Amie, CNA, whose winning poem was:

“Shamrocks shimmer gently as laughter and luck wander through glistening bright streets tonight.” 🍀

Amie was awarded a lunch bag cooler filled with goodies — well deserved! We love finding fun and meaningful ways to engage both our staff and residents.
