🌸 Palliative care is specialized medical care focused on improving quality of life for individuals living with serious illness — at any stage and alongside curative treatment.

Here at BPC, our team works to manage symptoms such as pain, fatigue, and stress while also providing emotional, social, and spiritual support for both our patients and their families. We collaborate with providers to ensure care is aligned with each person’s goals, values, and needs.

At Baxter Palliative Care, we recognize that care goes beyond medical support🌱

Pet therapy is one of the many ways we help nurture emotional and mental well-being, creating moments of peace, joy, and connection. Studies have shown that interactions with therapy animals can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, ease feelings of anxiety and depression, improve mood and social engagement, and so much more. For individuals receiving palliative care, these moments of connection can be especially impactful — offering comfort, companionship, and a sense of calm during difficult times.

We were proud to attend the Aging in Place Resource Fair in Jamestown this week — an incredible annual event hosted by the Jamestown Senior Center dedicated to helping older adults live safely and independently at home.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share resources, and be part of a community that truly values dignity, support, and quality of life at every stage. We’re grateful to be included in such a meaningful day and to continue supporting individuals and families right here in our community💙

It’s graduation season🎓✨ We want to take a moment to congratulate ALL the local graduates!!!! Your hard work, dedication, and resilience have brought you here and we can’t wait to see all that you accomplish next! The future is bright, and it’s just getting started.

We’ve also been very fortunate here at BPC to work closely with students over the years who are exploring careers in palliative and home care. Watching the next generation grow, learn, and step into their passion has been truly inspiring. Seeing students come into their own and discover the impact they want to make reminds us every day why this work matters so much.
