My friend Meghan called me to let me know that she was in town and so we made plans to catch up like old times – a good morning walk.
As we walked and shared this morning, I was reminded of how we came to even meet each other. In 2017, while processing some life altering experiences, and seeking to understand these through a spiritual framework, Meghan was referred to me by the teacher of a class that we both were enrolled in. The teacher asked if I had mind if she shared my contact with another participant who was also from Houston. I agreed. Once we connected, I was thrilled to discover that we literally lived five minutes from each other. Our experiences at the time mirrored each other in so many ways and the rest was history. Since then. We’ve enjoyed many special moments and I enjoyed house sitting for months while she was . away. I cried when her grapefruit tree died during the 2021 winter storm. Yes, I cried. I also cried for my papaya tree…but I’ll save that for another post.
As we shared some current experiences, we reminded each other of how grateful we were for our crossing paths and how our 2017 experience was still applicable to our now experiences.
Lessons:
1. What are the incremental steps that you are being led to in this very moment? Work with what is presented before you. The big picture scarcely plays out exactly how we expect it to, but the small steps lead to the big picture.
2. Sit with the discomfort, whatever it is. It is important to feel what is surfacing so that it can be released.
3. Your inner being knows what you are in need of and it IS already done. In fact, it’s past tense. What you think is the actual manifestation is actually waiting on you to show up. For this reason, manifestation seems to happen in a moment; in a twinkling of an eye.
4. Finally, we are one. That’s it. Any feeling of separation that you ever experience, be it from [God], your neighbor, or your dreams, serve as a strong indicator of how connected you truly are. You only feel disconnected because your soul knows that no such thing exists.
