On the move for Yorkshire & Stonebridge Manors

Was just a fantastic day today. I am so thankful for the many supporters that continue to support my efforts and the residence that I serve.

At some amazing donations come in today that really motivated me to get out here and do what God has called me to do!

I guess if God called us to do this, we shouldn’t need any more motivation than that but the support I have really encourages me and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart

I walked 10 1/2 miles tonight giving me a grand total of 83 miles toward my 200 mile goal.

I would like to raise $1000 more in the next 15 days and if you can help me reach that goal here is the link that you need:

After Bingo today, we celebrated assisted living week with a favorite from way back 

Root b**r floats have been a favorite since the beginning of time so it just seemed appropriate to celebrate way back Wednesday with an old-fashioned root b**r float

Tomorrow is throwback Thursday, where we are encouraged to dress in a tire that represents our favorite era between the 1950s and 1990s so far I heard there’s a few hippies on their way!

Friday is the car show and we are supposed to have good weather and I look forward to seeing everybody there come and vote for your favorite car as we will be awarding a Peoples choice award to the car that gets the most votes

And of course, the old sayings says feed them and they will come so we will be supplying hotdogs chips and cookies for anyone in attendance

Well my feet are officially sore 10.1 miles tonight giving me a total of 72 miles walked!

 I had a conversation with one of my residents, Miss Jean, and told her that I would do my best to do 10 miles tonight for her! She of course told me she didn’t think she would go with me because she wouldn’t be able to keep up!

I told her I’ll do the walk-in and she could do the praying and I got a big smile and that’s all it takes to get this guy going!

I’ve been getting a few questions and in this video, I’ll try to answer some of them!

Day two of assisted-living week consists of movie and popcorn afternoon

We call today timeless Tuesday and we watched a movie that just seems to be timeless with the residents. Can you guess which movie we watched?

Clue number one it’s a three hour long movie

Wednesday, we’re going way back calling it way back Wednesday back in the days when you visited your favorite designer or soda pop shop for a good ol root b**r float

Thursday is throwback Thursday. We are going to celebrate our staff for assisted-living week and we are going to dress in our favorite attire from the 50s 60s 70s 80s or 90s. Feel free to help your favorite resident to dress up and participate along with the fun!!

I heard there’s gonna be a few hippies hanging around

Friday, we are praying for good weather as we end the week with our Grand Rapids antique car club show! Hotdog and chips will be served come and vote for your favorites car of the evening

Just got done with a 6 1/2 mile walk giving me a total of 62 miles for the month of September so far!

Again, I’m doing this for the residents of Yorkshire and Stonebridge and we could really use your help. We got some amazing things in line to take care of that are going to help us continue to serve our residents!

I had the question today do we take checks? The answer to that question is absolutely yes we take checks we take cash and I will take your first born if they’re over 18 in our interested in caregiving lol. I will even take Tricia Van Koevering cause I’ll put her to work caregiving at Yorkshire & Stonebridge Manors!
