More than 4 months after her deep plane facelift and neck lift, this gorgeous patient looks absolutely stunning! He features are more defined, her proportions more balanced, and her natural beauty remains completely her own. There are so many intricate adjustments that I’ve made to the standard deep plane facelift technique over the years to be able to achieve results like these. The key is to make it look like I was never there . Nothing looks “overdone” or “plastic”. There is no “signature look”…… just elegant, natural, and unmistakably her. Two versions of the same beautiful face!

There’s so much I love about this patient’s result…. most importantly, she still looks like herself. She was beautiful before, and she’s still beautiful after.

Patients researching deep plane facelifts quickly discover that the name of the procedure tells only part of the story. Two surgeons can both perform a “deep plane facelift” and create very different results.

The difference lies in the details:
1. how the surgeon understands each patient’s facial anatomy
2. how the vectors are chosen
3. how the surgeon adjusts the procedure to create a dramatic improvement without making the patient look unnatural

Once the deeper tissues have been properly released, much of the technical portion of the procedure has been accomplished. From that point forward, aesthetic judgment becomes everything. How much to reposition? In what direction? Where to preserve softness? Where to create definition? And most importantly, when to stop? That balance is everything, and that’s where technique becomes artistry.

One of the hardest conversations that I have with some patients is telling them that either they are either not ready for a facelift or they are not good candidates to have one. As someone who routinely performs 3-5 deep plane face and neck lifts per week, the last thing I want to say is “No”. I love operating, but only if :

1. it can be done safely
2. create a meaningful improvement
3. achieve or come close to achieving a patient’s goals when there is nothing nonsurgical that will help.

So many factors play into when it’s the right time to have a facelift. The most basic is when there aren’t any nonsurgical treatments that will help. However, it’s important to be careful with nonsurgical treatments that can damage fat and muscle, accelerate the aging process, and create limitations when it comes time for a facelift and neck lift. When treatments like skin care, Botox/dysport, or fillers no longer work or might start looking weird, surgical procedures like a deep plane facelift become a great option.

Elegantly balanced and refined!!! So many details went into creating what I consider the perfect result for this beautiful patient’s face. I used my modifications of the standard deep plane facelift and neck lift to restore her jawline, neckline, and cheek position. I customized her temporal lift to rebalance her brows and brighten her eyes, refined her upper and lower eyelids, and used a very conservative amount of micronized and nano fat to restore the contour beneath her eyes.

One of the bigger challenges was correcting her pre-existing jawline asymmetry from fat loss and scar tissue. I addressed this with my SMAS grafting technique.

Her transformation is dramatic, yet elegant and natural. It looks as though she always looked like the after photo. No one asks if she’s had plastic surgery because there is nothing “plastic” about her result. She simply looks like herself…refreshed, balanced, and beautifully restored. She was beautiful before, and she is still beautiful after!

The last time I saw this beautiful patient was at her 6 week appointment. In the video I posted back then , she still had a little swelling and the incisions were still healing. She is now over 4 months after her facelift and neck lift and looking more amazing than ever!!! As the swelling came down, she has more definition to her neck, jawline and cheeks. What most important is that she still looks like herself…She was beautiful before and is still beautiful after!

Anyone who knows my work, knows how meticulous I am in every detail. Every now and then someone comments that the photos are edited or photoshopped. I take it as the highest compliment, because none of my results are edited or photoshopped. They don’t need to be.

This beautiful patient of mine sent me photos of her results 6 months after her facelift, with and without make up. Her scars are nearly invisible, and her skin looks amazing!!! She is over the moon happy with her results and so am I! Just look at her neck and jawline 💕

What an amazing day, topped off by seeing this beautiful patient of mine! I am so grateful that she has allowed me to share her photos.

So many details went into achieving what I consider the perfect result for her face. I used my version of the deep plane facelift and neck lift to restore the foundation of her face: her jawline, neckline, and cheek position. I modified the temporal lift on each side to brighten her eyes and rebalance the position of her eyebrows. I refined her upper eyelids using a revision upper blepharoplasty approach and used an orbicularis suspension technique to improve the shape of her lower eyelids. A very conservative amount of micronized and nano fat was used to improve the contour beneath her eyes.

One of the most challenging details was correcting the irregularity and asymmetry of her jawline caused by pre-existing fat loss and scar tissue. I addressed this with a SMAS grafting technique that I’ve been using for years. Her transformation is dramatic, yet elegant and natural. It looks as if she always looked like the after photo. No one has asked her if she had plastic surgery because there is nothing “plastic” looking about her result. She simply looks like herself…refreshed, balanced, and beautifully restored. At 63 years old, this beautiful patient came to me to restore a more refreshed, rested version of herself. Now, just 7 weeks after surgery, she’s thrilled with her transformation!
Her jawline is beautifully defined, her neckline is smooth and elegant, and, most importantly, she still looks like herself—just more refreshed.

Her face and neck lift were performed safely under IV sedation and local anesthesia, without the need for general anesthesia.

At the age of 63, this beautiful patient came to see me to refresh her appearance. She is now 7 weeks after her procedures and can’t believe her results!!! Her jawline and neckline are perfection. She was beautiful before, and is still beautiful after. I performed her face and neck lift safely under IV sedation and local anesthesia….. No general anesthesia.
