We are just 3 days away from the first official day of summer! ☀

As the temperatures rise it is important to remind everyone how these high temperatures can really affect our pets. Whether it is for the smallest amount of time it could turn fatal!

In 2025, there were 151 recorded cases of heat stroke related deaths in dogs and there were 365 recorded rescue cases of heat-related danger.

These accidents can be 100% preventable which is why we want to spread awareness.

If you want to help prevent these tragedies, experts recommend:
**Never leaving a dog in a parked car, even on mild days
**Providing shade, water, and rest during hot weather
**Monitoring dogs during outdoor activities in extreme heat

Please see the chart below!

To all prospective exhibitors for the 2026 Walla Walla Fair,

We are currently coordinating with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the State Veterinary Office regarding required testing for Salmonella Pullorum-Typhoid. This testing will be mandatory for all poultry within 90 days prior to the exhibition. Please note that waterfowl, pigeons, and doves are exempt from this requirement.

There will be a fee associated with the testing; however, the cost has not yet been determined.

We are still finalizing logistical details and will provide updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Good morning,

Yesterday, the College Place Police Department brought an injured small dog to our clinic. Unfortunately, he did not have a microchip or any form of identification. Upon arrival, our team immediately triaged and provided medical care. Despite our best efforts, he sadly succumbed to his injuries last night.

We are hoping to locate his owners and provide them with this information. Please review the description below and help us share this message in an effort to find them.

Chihuahua Mix
Tan & White
Intact Male
Blue Collar
He also had a red tracker/air tag on his collar

Thank you.

It was a tough day for the clinic yesterday as we said goodbye to K9 Pick.

We have said time and time again how we take pride in providing services to Walla Walla Police Department and with that pride we also share our grief with you.

K9 Pick was a water dog through and through so much that she would dunk her whole head in her water bowl every chance she got and LOVED bath time. She was the sweetest most energetic girl that just loved being around people and we will miss her everyday.

We thank you for your service and we hope there is an endless supply of water for you girl 🇺🇸❤️

💙🐾 In Loving Memory of Retired K9 Pick 🐾💙

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of retired police K9 Pick.

Pick, a Black Labrador got her name from the breeder — she was the “pick” of the litter. Known and loved by her fellow officers as “Pickles,” she proudly served as a drug detection K9 from 2014 until her retirement in 2020.

During her career, K9 Pick served on patrol and with the Street Crimes Unit alongside her handler, now-retired Sgt. Gunner Fulmer. Together, they took a substantial amount of illegal drugs off the streets of Walla Walla, making our community safer through her dedication, drive, and incredible nose.

After retiring, Pick transitioned seamlessly into her favorite role — full-time family dog with the Fulmers. She lived life with the same energy, love, and enthusiasm she brought to work, right up until the end, always generous with kisses and affection.

Today, K9 Pick has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, leaving paw prints on the hearts of everyone who knew her. 💔🌈

We miss you dearly, Pickles. Thank you for your loyal service, your unwavering spirit, and the joy you brought to so many. Rest easy, good girl. 💙🐕‍🦺
