***Major drug bust on I-75.***

Michigan State Police say a commercial vehicle stop in Monroe County led to the seizure of 213 pounds of processed ma*****na and $346,000 in vacuum-sealed cash.

According to investigators, the tractor-trailer bypassed a southbound weigh station in Erie Township, prompting a traffic stop. During the investigation, troopers located the hidden cash inside the truck’s sleeper berth before conducting a more extensive search that uncovered the ma*****na.

Police say the truck was traveling from California to New Jersey. The driver was taken to the Monroe County Jail while prosecutors review potential charges.

What do you think—was this likely part of a much larger operation?

The roots of chemistry and analytical science reach back thousands of years.

Long before modern laboratories, ancient Egyptian civilization advanced the use of minerals, oils, pigments, preservation methods, and early material analysis. Their curiosity, observation, and practical science helped shape the foundation of what would become modern chemistry.

At Prism Triangle, we honor that same spirit of discovery through today’s advanced laboratory testing, accurate analysis, and trusted reporting.

From ancient curiosity to modern precision, science continues to move progress forward.
