Griefhab

Griefhab Griefhab™ is a Michigan-based and virtual nonprofit providing 24/7 grief and mental health support for all kinds of loss. Because No One Should Struggle Alone!

Founded by Samantha Ruth, Griefhab™ offers therapy, groups, crisis care, and community events. I’m Samantha Ruth, and I’m a Psychologist, Speaker, Podcast Host of The Be Ruthless Show, and Best Selling Author. I help people around the world turn their pain into their power by guiding them to be their true selves not who they think they need to be, by embracing their differences, and by living life

on their own terms. My mission is to change the way the world views both grief and mental health, so people can openly speak about whatever issues they have and get the help they not only need but deserve without fear of judgment, labels, and repercussions. I am the proud founder of Griefhab, a 24/7 community open to anyone who has experienced a loss. After personally living through this, I realized just how much support I needed on a daily basis. I vowed to create these services so that others would have more support available in their times of need. In my free time, you can find me and my pups, Sassy and Dallas, on one of our outdoor adventures. We love living in Colorado and never miss an opportunity to explore our beautiful surroundings. Music fuels my soul, family means everything to me, and honoring my late husband, Jim, and making him proud gives my life daily purpose. Contact me to learn how to work with me individually or to learn how to have me as a keynote speaker at your event or organization at [email protected]

8 years ago today, this bundle of love rescued me and Sassy…..and I can’t imagine my world without her.

She’s had a year!! I’m happy to share that she’s starting to be ok around people again! I expected her to be afraid of other dogs, but after such a vicious attack….she was afraid of all things, including people.

The healing and training will continue, but she’s definitely becoming her silly self again. Thank you universe - and thanks to everyone who has checked on us.

The way to my heart is through Dallas 🤣🐾❤️

After being off of social media all summer - I’m easily reminded that the invisibles still remain invisible…..while I have alerts that National Beard Day is in 4 days.

I’m grateful to see so many organizations and individuals posts acknowledging National Grief Awareness Day. Last year there were a handful, and years before that there were none.

Progress is like healing - a journey!

As Griefhab moves into fall, we’ll continue to make noise and break stigmas - for ALL of the invisibles.

On this National Grief Awareness Day, please remember that grief is also an (invisible) journey…. You only know who is struggling if they choose to share.

In this world full of expectations and stigmas - many carry their grief silently. Today is a day to think about those we’ve loved and lost, as well as a day to reach out to those impacted by loss ❤️

This isn’t easy for me - but it’s really necessary. Please help me share this with any and all animal lovers - DO IT FOR DALLAS!! I refuse to let her suffer because irresponsible dog owners aren’t doing the right thing. We’ve already been to the emergency vet, multiple follow ups, the specialist/consult - and we’re only on the road to determining what’s wrong. Her surgery and scan on May 13th will be at least $5000 -and we don’t know what we’ll find. I can’t eat. I can’t sleep - because when Dallas sleeps, I can’t tell if she’s breathing, and I’m not going to take any chances. I thought I was losing my mind but it’s getting progressively worse. May 13th seems like forever - but what’s even better?

They called it a scuffle!

I’m already working to change grief grief laws -
Now we’re adding some animal rights laws to my list -

Thank you for any prayers, shares, dollars, and guidance along our way
🙏🐾❤️ If you have experience or connections in something like this, please reach out. Much appreciated!!

I’ve been pretty quiet over here, completely focused on taking care of Dallas.

It’s emotional.

Tomorrow will be 14 years since I lost Harlie.
Wednesday, Dallas is seeing a specialist for imaging and a CTScan (which will take place the following week).

And I’m just literally doing my best….. to keep it together most days!! She saved me and Sassy after we lost Jim. Now I’m doing any and everything to save her.

I’m so grateful to have all of the love and support from all of you, the very best friends and family, and all of my amazing clients. Everyone has been checking on us, meeting virtually so I can be with Dallas, and rearranging appointments so we can keep all her appointments. THANK YOU ALL ❤️ it means absolutely everything.

I’ve made the decision to work remotely for the summer. It’s the only way Dallas will heal, and I need some healing, too.

It’s what I say in every workshop I run: your only job is to survive and heal. I live by my own model - so that’s our plan. Thank you for understanding and for all of the love ❤️

Events and in person appointments are on pause - but there’s still some massively exciting things happening with me and Griefhab….. this fall!

Dallas matters most - so please keep sending her all of your love 🙏❤️
