You know when you’ve been dealing with something for so long that you start thinking, “I guess this is just how I feel now”?
The tight shoulders. The headaches. The jaw tension. Not sleeping well. Feeling stressed and completely drained.
Those are the kinds of things we can actually talk about and work through together. Sometimes it takes a little digging to figure out what your body needs, and that’s a big part of what I do.

Sometimes our bodies hold onto stress and emotions longer than we realize. SomatoEmotional Release is a gentle way to explore that connection during Craniosacral Therapy, always at your own pace.

Pain can have a way of taking over your attention.
One thing I often encourage is bringing your focus back to something simple, like your breath. Not to pretend the pain isn’t there, but to notice it without letting your whole body tense up around it.
Sometimes changing the way we respond to pain can change the way we experience it. 🤍

Hard to believe we’re already saying goodbye to August! As we head into a new month, I hope you take a minute to recognize how far you’ve come and give yourself some credit along the way.
Here’s to stepping into September with a little more intention, a little more peace, and plenty of room for what matters most.

With a new school year starting, I just want to remind parents to keep checking in with your preteens and teens.

School can come with a lot of pressure. Stress, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed and even depression can show up in ways we don’t always recognize right away. Sometimes it’s irritability, shutting down, trouble sleeping, headaches, stomachaches, or simply not acting like themselves.

I work with preteens and teens who are carrying a lot of stress and help give their nervous system a chance to slow down and reset through gentle, whole-body work.

The beginning of the school year is a big adjustment. Pay attention, keep the conversations open, and remind them they don’t have to carry everything on their own.

Back to school isn’t just an adjustment for the kids. Teachers are jumping right back into early mornings, busy classrooms, new routines and taking care of everyone else all day long.

As the school year gets going, remember to make a little time to take care of yourself, too. 🤍 Wishing all of our teachers a wonderful school year ahead!

I came across this quote yesterday and kept thinking about it.

The body is incredibly good at learning patterns. When something has felt unsafe, painful, or overwhelming enough times, our nervous system can learn to respond automatically, even when the circumstances have changed.

Sometimes understanding where a reaction comes from can be just as important as trying to change it.

When you’ve been dealing with pain, tension, or simply feeling “stuck,” sometimes your body needs a different kind of support. I’m so grateful to be a part of that process and to help my clients feel the shifts happening within themselves.
Thank you, Kathryn, for sharing your experience and for trusting me with your care. 🤍

Myofascial release is all about helping the body let go of tension it’s been holding onto.
Fascia surrounds and supports everything in our bodies, and over time it can become tight or restricted from injuries, surgery, repetitive movement, posture, or even stress.
Using gentle, sustained pressure, myofascial release can help soften those restrictions, improve movement, and ease areas of pain and tension.
